Re: Sunday 4/7 NBA Game Thread
Stuff like this is why nobody fears Miami this season. A critical game to climb out of the play in and they can't score

If I'm Mavs I'm tanking after they clinch top 6. Not only is 6 better but Luka is all beat up.
Is KAT coming back for Minnesota? I’m wondering because if they fall to the 3 seed and they have KAT it won’t be easy. The Thunder are beatable for sure.
i've been saying for a while now - OKC's worst matchup is the Mavs, I doubt they take more than one game off the Mavs
Kat is presumably coming back
Embiid had surgery of Feb 6th and came back a week ago, KAT has surgery on the 12th of March and was supposed to be re-evaluted in 4 weeks, which would be this week. if we go by a similar timeline to Embiid, he should probably be back around the start of May or middle of May

Rockets would have had to win out and Golden State lose out to make it anyway, now they're officially eliminated.

they weren't making the play-in either way, so no real drama here
this isn't some world cup final missed penalty haha
You gotta make one though - NBA game. This isn’t Iowa vs South Carolina. This is the big leagues
Praying for Burrow

If Indy holds on, I think there's a real possibility the East ends like this:
1.Boston
2.Milwaukee
3.New York
4.Orlando
5.Indiana
6.Cleveland
7.Philadelphia
8.Miami

yes he did and Green was fouled on the layup attempt on the next possesion as well
what the league is doing is shameful and unprecedented
since the scoring inflation led to all the backlash, they seem to have decided to run a pilot program from the ASB to the end of the season - not calling a few types of fouls that were called regurlaly and without announcing a rule change, a point of emphasis etc
they just blackballed foul calling haha
offensive ratings were breaking records, since the ASB games have been called league wide in a way that not only cratered those offenses and their offensive ratings but also craterd the free throw rates, which hasn't been this low since the 1950's or something
blatant fouls on drives are just being ignored now and I mean - actual fouls that is, fouls that would have been called in any era

Re: Sunday 4/7 NBA Game Thread
It could get interesting if Suns can take both games from Clippers, and assuming no Kawhi that's certainly possible.
Otherwise Clippers vs. Mavs is pretty close to a lock.

76ers aren't finishiing 7th, they have only one compeitive game remaining (vs the Magic) and they haven't lost a game since Embiid been back and were an elite team when their top guys (and cast) where healthy

Alvarado made sure he made that 3 just so he could bark at the Suns bench

Re: Sunday 4/7 NBA Game Thread
Rockets youth really showed in this game. Some very silly mistakes when they were in complete control of the game.
They are very very talented tough. I expect big things from them in the next few seasons.

Re: Sunday 4/7 NBA Game Thread
The refs in Phoenix called two out of bounds calls incorrectly against the Pels earlier in the game. I get they aren't a sexy team, but sometimes it feels like the league be cheating them. Those two losses to Memphis when Morant was back were especially egregious.
