Pacers 38-24 after 1. Great start for the Pacers shooting 67% and 50% from 3. Heat shooting 39% and ZERO from 3. Rebounds in Pacers favor.

Looking good so far but miami still dangerous if their 3s start falling or they get thr Pacers into the penalty early in the next half.

Turner huge today with a first half double double. The boards are crazy important. McConnell leads scoring with 14 points.
Pacers shoot 56% and 29% from 3 while holding Heat to 40% and 13% from 3.
Pacers controlled the first half boards by 7 more than the Heat.

Pacers 91-78 after 3. Luckily Toppin and McConnell kept the Heat in double figures deficit.

Re: Heat @ Pacers 4/7
I'm still mad about that Bulls loss that also had them needing to miss a free throw. Tonight we got the rebound. Then we tipped it and needed tip to be in a different direction - tip to backcourt and time would've run out. Maybe we talked about that after the game

Great win, and I'm proud of everyone except for Hali.
I hate watching that guy play. He' plays so scared, always so quick to pass the ball instead of actually trying to do something with it. He was pretty much useless and contributed nothing but bricks.
TJ is everything II wish Hali was, and if he continues to play like this, that max contract is gonna come back to bite us in the ass real soon.

Well Haliburton did have 8 assists, but 12 points and 2/7 from three point land isn't All-NBA kinda numbers for sure.

Finally saw some of the highlights,... IMO, he doesn't trust his hamstring, yet. Miami was doubling him high, getting the ball out of his hands. Why it's important that our 2 guard can be a second ball-handler,... when they double, it gives the other guy (or somebody) the angle for the 45 cut. Even when it was Nembhard and TJ on the floor, TJ was getting those cuts because the the high, top double, or hedge to make it look like a double. Pacers made them pay.
Edited: Yeah,... watched it again,... Gotta believe Ty's hamstring was tight,.. Miami actually stopped doubling him above the key, (fairly early actually) dared him to shoot. He wasn't moving to manipulate the defense. He was also 'short hopping' when he was just walking,...
Having said that,... Hali isn't coming off his cuts like he did early in the year,.. he's not using his stride to seal the defender, off a screen, or when he rejects a screen. Looks like he may not be all the way back (more like a tight hamstring than an injured one?.... from a guys with sciatica's,.. it looks all too familiar.) Good news is that will heal, and get stretched back to normal,... bad news,.. it takes a while even after the muscle has healed. that nerve is a (*expletive deleted*).
If that's the case, it also explains the lack of lift on his jumpshot & the over correction as he tries to 'strong arm' it a little bit. Anyway,... the team as a whole really looked good. Been impressed with how Pascal has been rebounding,... and committed to rebounding. He's only getting sorta 8-10 a game, but it's opened up the box for Myles a bit. Pascal (well, AND hard work), is a factor in Myles consistently getting double digit rebounds.
Happy with the result,... praying Hali gets back to moving freely soon.

Tyrese plays chess. He doesn't just read and react. The defense is a puzzle he tries to solve. 7 game series should be extra fun.
