Maxey:
25.5pts (57.1% TS), 3.7reb, 6.3ast (27.1%), +3.5 EPM, +1.87 DARKO, +2.89 LEBRON, +5.2 On-OFF

Brunson:
28.0pts (58.8% TS), 3.6reb, 6.7ast (33.3%), +5.6 EPM, +3.71 DARKO, +2.86 LEBRON, +11.0 On-OFF

Those numbers are skewed because the Knicks are far better without Randle/Robinson/OG, than the Sixers are without Embiid.

Take a look at the metrics before Embiid went down. The Sixers are a lottery team, and Maxey is the only thing keeping them afloat without Embiid. The Sixers lost Maxey for 4 games, and they lost all 4 games.

There may be some noise coming in since the injuries hit...Brunson's assist are up without Randle to share the creative burden, and his On-Off has ballooned with us now generally losing the minutes he rests...but Jalen has been the better (& more efficient) scorer and had the better EPM/DARKO (by a meaningful margin) pretty much all season.

Not sure about their LEBRON's; only started checking that around the new year.

There's also the argument that the post-injury Knicks have been better than the post-injury 6ers because Brunson is a higher tier player than Maxey. Given that both have been their team's only primary creators since losing their star bigman.

Again without Embiid the Sixers are ass. The Knicks are performing well because of Brunson yes. But Hart has been incredible, so has DiVincenzo. They also have Bojan and Alec Burks. The Sixers have no one of that calibre. Oubre at best, but he's far more inconsistent than those two.

Read on Twitter

So I brought up their offensive #s & impact stats...which try to account for team-mates...and you responded by saying that those offensive #s were skewed because Brunson had more support after the injuries than Maxey did. Seems reasonable to continue focusing on their team-mates offensive contributions, no?

And my bad for misreading. Your wording wasn't clear so I thought you were saying that you had no one of Bojan or Burks' caliber.

I mean as overall players and contributions, not just offensive. Offensively DiVincenzo with his efficiency, is the best of the bunch. Harts assists and rebounds are very important. Tobias and Hield have been very inefficient. Since the break it's cratered for them. But again, look at the whole player and it's not close to be honest.

That's fair...I even mentioned in another post that we had the better defense since the injuries...but I don't know that that influences each team's #1 options numbers as much as the offensive support they are getting. And you do have two of the top three non-Brunson/Maxey scorers; with the gap between Harris and McBride/Hart offensively being bigger than the gap between Donte & Kelly.

I also assumed you would've brought up guys like Hartenstein, Batum, and Melton instead of Bojan & Burks if we were talking about all around impact, rather than focusing on their offensive support.

And we don't have anyone as pretty as Oubre...which matters, ok?

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Hahaha yes. Unfortunatley Melton has missed almost half the season at this point.

Bro, Oubre hit the genetic lottery. I don't think there is anyone prettier than him in the world. Hands down one of the most beautiful human beings. How do you think he scores on people. He mesmerises the defense with his high cheek bones and feline eyes.

It's surprising to me that Oubre doesn't get sent to the line more often just from players subconsciously cuddling him any time he posted up & started jostling for position

It's been many years since I last hooked up with a guy, and even during my more actively bi periods I never found very many guys visually attractive...but Kelly is just god damn pretty

Have to assume that when it happened James just sighed and congratulated her on making the right decision

In the last few games he’s sat against the Bucks and the Wolves. You’d think he’d rest against the Grizz, Wiz, Nets or Raptors instead of trying to get stats against bad teams.

A variety of things.

1. Donovan Mitchell got injured and even though he's back, he's been struggling massively to find his form and it's hurting their offense.

2. Dean Wade still hasn't returned since the birth of his child. It's easy for people to forget, but Dean Wade was a massive reason for the Cavaliers being the hottest team in basketball. He's a legitimate 3/D wing who can also play bigger than he actually is. He's insanely valuable for the Cavaliers and him not being out there is hurting their depth.

3. The Cavaliers schedule is starting to get to them and it shows in their play. While they absolutely blew this game, you can tell a clear difference in both the effort and execution. They're exhausted, they're beat up, but unfortunately they are at a time in their schedule where they are traveling an asinine amount of times and facing the better teams in the league.

4. This is probably the most important one, but they've reached the point in this season where they still don't have clear cut chemistry with each other while most of the other teams are at the point where they've found their groove. Injuries have killed the Cavaliers this season to the point where it's pretty insane that they have as many games won as they do. If you would have told me at the start of the season that they would still have a chance to win 50 games while somehow having even more injury problems than in the 2021/22 season, I would have gave out a very loud laugh. That stretch where they were dominating every team that they faced was in large part due to the fact that, at least for about 20-30 games, they had a consistent lineup that developed chemistry with one another and fit almost perfectly. Now we're back to the same problem we were facing at the start of the season where the lineups are inconsistent and they can't find a groove again.
