They really have been devastated by injuries this year. Doc isn't helping because Doc never helps, but them losing isn't really his fault. I won't be mad when he catches the heat for it after this season though.

After seeing Doc throw in the towel down by just 10 with over a minute left, maybe...

My comment was tongue in cheek, but I can't remember the last time I saw a coach pull his rotation guys with just a 10pt deficit and that much time on the clock outside of teams who definitely were tanking

Doc is feeling a ton of pressure right now. He does not want to go sub-.500 AND lose in the first round. There's a chance he'd get fired in that scenario, and even if that's not a concern, his reputation takes a massive hit with how this season played out. You can't draw it up any worse.

Do I think he's looking at the playoff picture and actively trying to avoid Philly or Miami? I lean towards no, but it wouldn't shock me.

I wasn’t a fan of going for Lillard. They had to address an aging Middleton Lopez and Holiday but acquired another aging vet.

I think they should have went younger / opted for more depth

Also not sure why they didnt hire nurse they fumbled the bag. At least keep Bud

I'd believe this more if Doc wasn't too busy throwing everyone he can under the bus for these losses

They'll get right Tuesday against the Celtics and Wednesday against the Magic. Then, on the road for the last 2 at OKC and Orlando.

Doc is tanking to avoid a 3-1 lead. He doesn't care who it's against, he just doesn't want a 3-1 lead.

If the Bucks were tanking, it'd be smarter just to tank to 4th, and hope to draw the Magic in the 1st round.

The Bucks are more than welcome to tank the rest of the season, but they will not be playing the Magic if they do. They have two regular season games remaining against Orlando, who are only a game behind them.

Bucks plays the Magic 2 more times.

Very interesting, but they can fall all the way down to the play in IF they lose out. And the teams behind them keeps winning.
If that happens. Could be Heat/Bucks facing off in one the play in match ups. Winner plays the 2nd seed. Loser faces the Bulls/Hawks play in winner.

The Magic can get the 2 seed in the East, esp if they beat the Bucks in both of those games. Orlando is 3rd seed and only 1 game behind the Bucks.
Honestly, the Knicks, Pacers and Cavs are still alive for that 2 seed as well! lol.

Crazy.

Middleton's failing health is what threw them off balance. If he was healthy they would have done it as you said

They're not tanking. They are just bad at the moment.
This can be good or bad.
Either it will work as a wake up call either it will lead them to a second consecutive first round exit.
The second scenario will lead to everyone getting traded aside Antetokounmpo and Lillard.
I'm not sure Rivers will be safe too.
Possible that the Bucks will be paying 4 coaches next season (bud, griffin, doc, the next one).

The East must be really bad if the Bucks can pull a 2018 Cleveland and still be a 2 seed.

The Bucks were dominating in the regular season last year, but they got humilated in the first round. Anything could happen in the playoff.

Love doing Giannis dirty & Bud's brother died. Exactly, anything can happen. Bud scapegoated for Giannis being taken down, despite his personal turmoil going on simultaneously.

Bucks are top heavy & need everyone healthy/playing to win.

No, and any team that would try to dodge anotjer team doesn’t have the balls or mental toughness to win 4 series and take a championship home.

Didn't Milwaukee already do this in 2022 to avoid the KD Nets?
