No real substance In the article. They're going through the motions, not playing with joy and the team had a meeting where the top 9 veterans each got to share their feelings on what was happening.

No chemistry. Rather watch Bud, Jrue and Grayson click with the team and at least try to win than watch this current group do whatever it is they're doing.

It's also looking like Bud was underrated. He knew the strengths and limitations of his guys and spammed it. We thought he refused to adjust but it turns out he just knew his personnel.

Agreed, makes no sense for the Hawks. But then again maybe you three way deal it, with Dame going to Miami or LA.
If Dame is dealt, we have to find a 20ppg guard somewhere out there.

Unfortunately that's what I was thinking last night. I think this is part of the problem in the chemistry equation. Giannis is pure effort & the new starters aren't bringing the same stuff as a Jrue from effort standpoint.

Any coach who could get the Hawks to win 60 games, while creating four all-star berths out of Jeff Teague, Paul Milsap, Al Horford and Kyle Korver was a damn miracle worker.
Our last chance to do something was 2022, but Middleton got hurt (and has needed a Medic Alert bracelet ever since).

I don't think that's a necessity. We would need the scoring to go somewhere, but if you were to trade a player worth of Dame's calibre you would get some scoring capabilities back just by the nature of salary matching. It doesn't necessarily have to come from the guard position.

Finding a guard who can score 20 per in today's NBA shouldn't be too tough.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
“We started getting a two-man thing working and working and working, but it was just me and Giannis out there,” Lillard said of the Bucks’ offensive flow under Rivers. “We gotta be able to have things working when it’s me, Khris and Giannis out there, and that’s all part of a process.
“You can’t just put it out there and say, ‘Do it,’ and it just flows smooth. We got a new coach coming in and there’s things that he wants to be done and he wants it to be done a certain way.”
“I mean, as crazy as it might sound, I feel good,” Lillard said. “Obviously, I hate how the last two weeks or so, however long it’s been, has gone. It’s uncomfortable and it’s frustrating to lose games that we should win and then have a game like tonight where we start off playing well and then have a bad third quarter and get those guys believing and then they take over the game. But when I look around the locker room, I just feel good about it.
“I see Giannis, Khris, Bobby and Brook and Jae and Pat, Beas. When I look around, I just have a true belief in what we have, our experience, how long we’ve been around. And I know that sometimes it gets dark. This league is a tough league. Sometimes you have hard times. And I think that’s what it is for us. And when this kind of stuff happens, everybody’s going to say how bad it is. And ‘This is the problem.’ (or) ‘They gotta do this; they gotta do that.’ But when you just keep fighting in these situations, you never know when it’s going to turn."

Trying to provide some oxygen to the "Playoff Dame" candle but I'd be lying if I said I had even a modicum of confidence that we are going to see anything different.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
It's gonna be a Brook centerpiece trade if anything. They're not punting on the Dame/Giannis pairing after one season of chaotic coach upheaval unless he explicitly communicates that desire to the front office. Figure out what a team like Brooklyn wants to do this offseason, cuz they have two big wings (Cam Johnson and DFS) that would fit great here. Do the Rockets still value Brook as essentially a one season rental?
Brook for Landale + Jeff Green + a wing asset?
For a possible Middleton trade if things go really south in the playoffs. I thought about Atlanta unloading some of their contracts. Something like Middleton + Pat + Marjon for Bogdan + Hunter + AJ Griffin.

Would the Lakers be dumb enough to trade us Reeves and Russell for Dame? I would do that. I hope Lebron cons ownership into something like that

If you guys think a Dame/Beas backcourt sucks defensively, then you're gonna love a D-Lo and Austin Reaves back court without the LA whistles.

While this is generally true and as long as the wing type you're describing is a heavy ballhandler type it would accomplish that. However, today's nba is all about guard play such as shooting, handling in pnr, dribbling, etc. Its tough to win without someone of that nature. But yea, if the 'forward' is actually doing all the guard stuff like a LBJ or prime PG13, etc and others its about the same thing. But not having these type of guys is what's killed their O in the playoffs every year. And not that you need it to be one star like has been done with Dame, could get multiple guys who can shoot, dribble, attack. Our guard rotations have been some of the weakest in the league for years, crazy they've had no luck getting anything there, but I'd hope to not go back to that next year
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I think they gotta switch out at least 2 of Brook, Bobby, Khris, and Malik out of the rotation on the offseason. Too much **** defense and **** effort without enough consistent offense to offset the ****
only a fan, only an opinion

OKC is your Brook partner this offseason, assuming they get smashed inside during the playoffs.
OKC has plenty of picks (the Houston #12 this year looks good to me) and they likely have cap room to outright absorb Brook.

Hadn't really thought of this. Brook for #12 and Kenrich Williams is probably the deal there. Could be some interesting trade combos with picks 12, 24, and 35 all in the quiver.

They would probably be an upgrade offensively. Can’t get much worse defensively
