If you take away Purdue's best player and take away UConn's best player, Purdue loses by 50 possibly..

Just give Dan Hurley a lot of credit. Two years ago, Teddy Allen busted them up (in the first round). He said no more. We're gonna fix the issue.

This speaks to UConn’s dominance imo. Purdue has been smacking teams all season and they’re down by almost 20.

I think that says more about the state of men’s college basketball.

Yeah, I think that is the case. All they do is just take advantage of Edey’s height.

Yes, being insanely huge is a nice asset to have in basketball - at all levels.

It’s true though. They don’t run any screens to get guys decent looks from beyond the arc. It’s such an archaic offense. Granted it’s worked but gotta mix it up against a juggernaut

NC State had better coaching. I've seen Keat's adjustments and half court offense through 2 tournaments. This guy, just has no imagination. His coaching ceiling was Elite 8. Where I put him. Worst of all he don't learn from watching tapes of other teams either.

Also, Stephon Castle has basically locked every guard up this tournament (Boo Buie, Lamont Butler, Terrance Shannon, Mark Sears and now Braden Smith)

Man Hurley, stop whining about everything! He clearly stepped on the court and touched his player while the game was in play. What's he complaining about.

Sure, but when height it is your only advantage you have your current outcome.

That’s been the knock on him his whole career at Purdue. He should give Edey half his paycheck lol

This could be your offense folks! Just get rookie Zach Edey to be the center of your offense. Take your offense back to 2004 era efficiencies***

***Assuming Edey can post up for 60%+ TS in the league

Yup.

New Mexico State Aggies were the last team to beat UConn in the tournament.

Edey has 33 points and most of those were against the 7-2 Clingan.

Nah, sometimes dominant teams just emerge. We've seen it before, with Florida for example. Huskies have like 4 guys who'll go in the first round. But they have no 5 star recruits for next year so unless they kill it on the transfer front, you'll see them drop down to earth next year.

Ya but that Florida team has an equal adversary, the ucla bruins. They also had a ridiculous about of nba talent which is far greater than this UConn team. They had like 8+pros.

I’m just kind of stunned how such a one trick pony team could just blow out teams and get to a finals.

I am not a historian by any means, but I can imagine Purdue Has the least amount of three pointers made in a national championship game in the last few decades..
