No team can win a game hitting one 3 pointer.

Purdue made a decision (probably a good one) not to try and run with UConn. They just couldn't get enough stops.
Or make enough open looks.

They really don’t do anything else, that is their only offense. If you are down 17 and you are still posting up that should tell how bad your offense is.

Yep
Edey has 33 points and most of those were against the 7-2 Clingan.

Ewing might have been the best college defender of all time. The man was a total monster defensively.
Ewing spent much of his NBA career as more of a finesse player because he started having knee trouble in his early 20's, but when he was in college, he was an athletic freak.

Nah, sometimes dominant teams just emerge. We've seen it before, with Florida for example. Huskies have like 4 guys who'll go in the first round. But they have no 5 star recruits for next year so unless they kill it on the transfer front, you'll see them drop down to earth next year.
Ya but that Florida team has an equal adversary, the ucla bruins. They also had a ridiculous about of nba talent which is far greater than this UConn team. They had like 8+pros.
I’m just kind of stunned how such a one trick pony team could just blow out teams and get to a finals.
I think we'll see more talent in college in the future with Ignite going out of business and guys now getting paid (and transfers demanding $1m).

On the perimeter, UConn hounded the shooters. I didn't see many open perimeter opportunities for Purdue.

And I believe UCONN hasn't allowed a C to put up 20 points on them all year.

This is the best college team since UF in 2007. Anyone disagree with that?

UConn rolled out the Bill Belechick Thurman Thomas defense. "If Edey scores 30 we'll win".
