Rules say we must play our players that are not hurt, but it doesn't say for how long. Sit KP, Horford and Brown. Start Tatum, White, Holiday, Luke and Tilman for 1st quarter. Then sit Tatum, White and Holiday and let PP, Hauser, Luke, Tillman, Brissett, Svi, Springer rotate for the rest of the game. They want the minutes, let the stay ready group build even more chemistry for the playoffs. The way Giannis and Pat Bev play out of control, they are just an injury to our guys waiting to happen.

Big game, the Bucks could cut the Celtics lead down to 14 games with 3 to play. Hope Middleton plays!

Winning these next two games against Milwaukee and NY would be nice. They just shouldn't try too hard , having the bench play extended minutes.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

Meh, I get resting our guys and avoiding injury and all...But I also want to embarrass these guy. We're going to have a lot of time between this game, the other meaningless games and watching the play-in before play offs really start.
I say go for their throats and limit starter minutes after we build a big lead. Hopefully the Bucks don't magically wake up after there embarrassing losing streak. Or maybe they do and we bring them right back down to earth

I could see this strategy leading to another tweak in the rules though lol.

Lets hand the bucks that 5th straight loss. All in all, we are in for a tough 1st rd matchup. Its either the sixers or heat for us. Still pissed we threw away history against the heat.

It actually does say for how long:
A player will be considered to have played in a regular-season game if he played at least 20 minutes of such game -- though he can count two games in which he fell short of 20 minutes toward the 65 if he played at least 15 minutes. The minutes requirement was added to avoid situations like when Jrue Holiday played seven seconds in the 2021-22 season finale to secure a contract bonus.

I would just take the fine and tell the league to **** off personally lol

Wait, what? So the backup players who play 19 mins or less didn’t really play? Is this just star players? I don’t get it. Even then, why can’t someone go in and fall and be taken out? How can they regulate that? Why can’t someone go in and immediately start limping after one jog up the court? Say they had a hamstring strain or tightness? How is that not easy to get around? How did the players let that slide and not use what happened to Hayward? With those rules he wouldn’t have gotten paid that game?
NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!)

If Cs completed that comeback and made history, we would not have KP and Jrue right now.
Reason why Brad made the trades was because Wyc Grousbeck demanded to upgrade the roster.
If Cs made the finals, Marcus Smart would still be a Celtic.

Yeah, I think this is in regards to the 65 games played quota for awards. I guess it assumes most players who are eligible for awards would play more than 20 mins. I don’t know if this applies to just resting stars on a nationally televised game

No way, not if there's a likely chance of Philly and/or Miami at 7. Either way, one of the 3 annoying teams gets the boot.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
If the main guys are going to play anyway, then play to win. Treat it like a playoff road game. Only play 9th to 15th guys if it’s a blowout.

Dame downgraded, Giannis upgraded.
Queta in Maine? Tillman, Kornet, and Brissett to the rescue.

a sweep is a tough first round matchup?
What are you expecting, the opposing team to just not show up?

I do. Particularly getting culture club out of the way as they've been a nuisance.
