Agreed. I am more concerned with keeping our pick. Give this FO 2 picks in the top 17 or so and I'm good.

Raptors winning against the Pacers potentially devalues the higher pick, which is a lot more important than where a mid 1st exactly falls.

Realistically, even if the Pacers fall into the play-in, the likely aren't losing two games. The pick is going to be in the 15-20 range and it really isn't worth stressing over.

Quickley has been ruled out (rest) and Indiana needs the win. After the Brooklyn game, the team plays the Heat twice in Miami and those will be important games for the opponent. So it's unlikely the Raptors are going to extend the winning streak by much, if at all, and certainly not by enough to fall out of six seed.

Going to be very difficult to put Pacers in play in

Still hoping we beat them today and Grizzlies beat the Spurs.

Yeah I’m coming around to that realization

Heat losing to Pacers and Wizards in last couple of weeks were death blows

Indiana Pacers (45-34) = 6th | Games left: @Toronto, @Cleveland, Atlanta = 47 wins & 35 losses
Philadelphia 76ers (44-35) = 7th | Games left: Detroit, Orlando, Brooklyn = 46 wins & 36 losses
Miami Heat (43-35) = 8th | Games left: @Atlanta, Dallas, Toronto, Toronto = 46 wins & 36 losses

If we were to win our games against the Pacers and Heat...

Indiana Pacers (45-34) = 6th | Games left: @Toronto, @Cleveland, Atlanta = 46 wins & 36 losses
Philadelphia 76ers (44-35) = 7th | Games left: Detroit, Orlando, Brooklyn = 46 wins & 36 losses
Miami Heat (43-35) = 8th | Games left: @Atlanta, Dallas, Toronto, Toronto = 44 wins & 38 losses

The Pacers are 2-1 against the 76ers, winning the tie-breaker and maintaining the 6th best record.

Should the Heat win both of the games against us and these 3 teams all end up with records of 46 wins & 36 losses, the Pacers are also 2-1 against the Heat and would win a tie-breaker against them as well.

The Heat and 76ers are 2-2 against each other this season with a point differential of zero so either of those teams will likely have the #15 and #16 picks, leaving the Pacers with the #17 pick in the 2024 draft.
Raptors record prediction: 45-37 (6th place in the East)

Too early to say but uh

Letting Freedom Liberty outscore your team to open the quarter is a bold strategy

Is it possible that this pick falls into the early-mid 20s

Possible but not likely. The 2-8 in the East are stupid close but I can't be bothered to check who has what tiebreakers with one another.

I'm sure someone will have the spreadsheet soon, those will be fun to look at.

So Miami won in OT. Still not out of the 6th spot race but it's dicey and they need to win their remaining games (2 of which are against us).

Masai wants the Indiana pick to be lower so he can justify taking a raw 7'4 athletic C with a 8' wingspan from Congo that none of us have ever heard of

and with the Detroit pick, there will be a 6'9 forward with a 9' wingspan from Nigeria who started basketball at the age of 16

Why do people keep saying this as a joke? It’s over said here and people actually think there’s legitimacy behind this. Masai has rarely drafted any African born players since taking over the team.
