If we finish 1-2 Miami and Philadelphia can pass us.

Eh. Good player, but that’s a season high for him when it literally mattered least all season. If he was this guy HOU would be in the playoffs. Gotta tip a hat to a solid performance, but I’ll wait and see what comes of this off-season before playing that would’ve/should’ve game.

They would be in the playoffs if they played in the East

They have a losing record against the East, right?

Is Fultz really a better basketball player than AB today?
If Fultz was on OKC, would he play over Cason? Mind you, OKC is a legit contender that plays their lotto pick real minutes.

I'm curious what our team record is when being down 15+ in a game

Quite simply, Paolo and Franz need to figure out how to shoot 3's. Yes, we need others that can shoot too but it starts with Paolo and Franz. We're not winning a damn thing until they learn how to shoot. They play way too many minutes to be subpar shooters.

Are they not part of our team? I said our team needs more 3 pt shooters.

At the very least, Paolo & Franz provide other things on the court to suppliment their mediocre 3 pt shooting, hence why we're building around them

But when you have both of your young stars being mediocre at 3, you cant get away with giving Fultz heavy minutes, or playing defensive black holes like Mo serious minutes when he isnt on point from the get-go, or Cole heavy mins when he's cold for the night, or WCJ when his motor is weak for that game

We dont have 1 high volume high percentage 3 pt shooter on our team. Simply having a player like FVV would open up our offense tremendously

Means nothing. Orlando this season have losses almost every game where the star players of the opponent team was out due to rest.
And Orlando has wins against good teams with all their players playing, it goes both ways.

It would make the front office look really bad for not making a couple of moves.

Holy F... at least we're not the suns... they're down 34-6 with 1 minute to go in the 1st.... I don't think I've ever seen that.

Kind of wish it would happen. That way there is no illusion that we are close to being good. Because we are in fact not even remotely close to be good.

The elephant in the room is the lack of guard scoring. That is the biggest weakness on this team.

Suggs had 21 points and was +50% from the floor while holding Green to 14points.

What?

Come on man, Suggs only avgs 12 points per game this season not 21. Guard scoring is definitely a problem. Let's not lie to ourselves. We do need a PG that can create for others, but they also need to score in my opinion.

Yes but we need more than what Suggs provided which was fantastic. Fultz, Harris, Cole even Infles are just not treated as threats by defenses. Fultz had 18 but he is a space shrinker anytime on the floor which hurts the other guys on the court.

Say what you will about the offense, but Franz’s defense was a major missing factor here.

Paolo visibly gets in his own head. It’s good on one hand...means he cares that much, but hopefully it will mature over time (and likely will).

I'm going to keep it real.... The best I felt about this team was when AB and Goga was starting... I felt we played with more energy with that lineup, we ran more the ball didn't stick as often more ball movement... And the opposing players couldn't just drive it into the paint with no fear like they can against Wendell....when Dell and kelle got healthy and needed to be reintegrated into the team we got more talented but the brand of ball we were playing suffered

I don’t think the Magic have much of a chance to beat Philly in Philly on Friday night. The Sixers will be much more rested and Embiid will be playing.

So you basically have to take these two games off the Bucks without Giannis to avoid the play in.

And they will probably come back and win the game because they have two players that can shoot.

I don’t disagree with the point guard talk.

Just weird to walk away from this game saying “guard scoring” is the issue.

Nah. The issue is 30+ shots from Paolo and a guy that rides the bench usually at poor efficiency.

You can’t set the table as a guard if you can’t shoot. Magic don’t have a starting point guard to get guys into better positions to score. The offense in the SL just stands around and watches Paolo struggle.
