In early middle school, high school years, I still had no way of watching Magic games. I couldnt afford league pass, but NBA.com offered free radio broadcasts, and that is how I followed Magic games. The most memorable one was Dwight Howard's game winning dunk vs Spurs. I heard that game live and it was insane, one thing people forget about that game is that Jameer Nelson scored like 18 pts in a row at one point. (Maybe not in a row, but he was on a heater)
This was JJ Redick’s breakout game. Were down like 15 at half and JJ had his first big game in the 3rd quarter, almost single handily brought us back. Then it was a close battle the rest of the way. Then that Hedo pass and Dwight dunk….

Re: What is your best Magic memory?
I haven’t thought about this in a longgg time but this thread made me think about the 1995 NBA Finals run. Being here in Orlando during that time as a kid was Magical. We couldn’t really afford to go to games but my dad would take us to the old arena right after Magic playoff wins to celebrate and we would watch the players leave in their nice cars and cheer them as they drove by. It was so much fun being around other fans celebrating and seeing the Magic players reactions. I vividly remember seeing Jordan on the bus leaving the arena, this was right after the Nick Anderson steal game. I think the way Shaq left made me put those Orena celebrations memories buried in there but I’m glad to have them out again. The feeling around the city was something else.
The 2009 finals run was also special. It had been so long since 95 and at the time I was struggling career wise and I had been down for a while and that finals run really gave me a huge lift. The city was so hyped up and that team was so much fun, they were cold-blooded and tough. So clutch. Beating Lebron and the media was fun.

A friend of my family worked for the Magic part time as Stuff. This was in 1989, so basically the expansion years. Anyway, he would take me to games quite a bit over the years when he wasn't working as Stuff. The one game that always sticks out is seeing Utah and witnessing Malone and Stockton in their primes. This was a big deal to me because you could rarely see the Jazz on TV. Seeing them live was awesome.
Going to all those games as a kid really helped me learn the game and become a lifelong fan. It'll always be my favorite Magic memory.

Most memorable. Courtney Lee alleyoop miss = life of a Magic fan. So close yet so far. Lol
Best memory is also the alleyoop from Turk to Dwight. I think that turned everything around.
But I think one underrated was when Tobias hit the game winning dunk against OKC on fastbreak. Fun exciting times for a young team.

I liked the big shots from Hedo and Rashard in the Cavs series. The Cavs were like the current Boston team that season. They were 66-16. We had their number in the regular season, but the Cavs were an overwhelming favorite.

The NBA wanted that Kobe V LeBron matchup BAD. Remember the puppet campaign they had for the whole playoffs?

This is my favorite memory. That ECF. I was still a little too young for the Shaq, Penny era.

Re: What is your best Magic memory?
Fav Magic memory: Going to the Junior Magic Basketball Camp when I was in...I want to say 6th or 7th grade. It was a cool little camp and at one point Bo Outlaw and Darrell Armstrong came in and spoke to us, and then proceeded to play a game of Knock Out with us. Bo was out pretty quick, haha. But DA was in it late, and like the tiniest kid in camp knocked him out and we all went nuts. I wound up winning Most Improved Player for the camp awards, though I honestly just had a bad first few days. lol
Fav Magic GAME memory: not sure why this one always stick out in my mind. It just always has. There are much bigger moments that I also remember. But this one is always at the forefront when i ask myself what my favorite Magic play was.
Others that come to mind: Nick Anderson stole the ball, Dwight's alley-oop game winner, being wrong that we should've drafted Emeka Okafor over Dwight

I have to say I smile a bit every time I remember Weisbrod (hockey guy- was that his name?) saying about TMac…”I’m pretty sure we still could’ve finished in last place without him”. (Or something to that effect)

The Magic are streaming a rerun of 2009 ECF game 1 vs. Cavs on their youtube channel right now.
Forgot that Dwight messed up the shot clock with a dunk almost immediately, causing a delay. Good times.

Re: What is your best Magic memory?
My favorite Magic memory is the game where Shaq first played here as a Laker, and proceeded to get owned by Rony Seikaly and Nick Anderson.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Being at Shaq's first home game. It was electrifying right out the gate. That is what made me a big Magic fan.
