26-41

Just absurd shooting.

10 seed staring them in the face. That 3-10 stretch after the IST just absolutely doomed them.

People keep saying “absurd shooting” as if Ham’s game plan isn’t to leave 3pt shooters open. It’s not a coincidence it keeps happening.

Oh yeah and playoff LeBron definitely still a thing. Only question is if the Lakers will ever stop sabotaging him so we actually get to see it. What a **** waste of 5/6 seasons.

It's LeBrover man. What does he have to gain building something from scratch again. And the only situation on Earth that makes sense to hitch his wagon to is Embiid but realistically the only location that can serve to enhance his legacy at this point is New York.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

GP3, Dray and Wiggins went 10-15 from 3. That's an absurd shooting no matter what the strategy

Believe it or not Draymond has shot 3s well this year. And I’m not sure why you think Wiggins is a non shooter he’s been at 38.1% from 3 since he left Minnesota. Sure you’re not expecting them to do THIS well but it’s been a pattern teams have nights like this against them for a reason. So while it was an outlier it’s also a result of Ham’s poor strategy. I suppose it’s somewhat more justifiable to focus on the paint in a game AD is missing though. But the fact that he does this in games AD plays too is truly baffling.

Funnily enough they can still make top 8 if Phoenix or Sacramento lose 2 games and Golden State loses one.

Decent chance New Orleans beats GS. That means Lakers pass them if they go 2-0. Suns and Kings play each other so one loss is guaranteed for one of them. Just need one more for whoever loses. Suns play Clippers again which is potentially bad for them.

That's curtains on the season. This team is not winning 2 play-in games.

Infuriating that LeBron and AD were pretty much healthy all season only to start missing games right at the end with awful luck.

Davis going down at the worst time.

But also, Lakers blew all the important games..

vs GSW 1-3
vs SAC 0-4

1-7 vs the 2 teams stopping them from being 8th seed.. They just needed to win 1 against Kings and they are 8th as a lock pretty much.

Went 3-10 against SAx2, CHA, CHI, DAL, NY, MEM, MIA, NOP, OKC, BOS, MINx2

That should have been 7-6 at minimum.

Sacramento is a legit awful matchup. 1st game went into overtime. The other 3 were complete ass-kickings. Same issues as Denver...playmaking 5's paired with dynamic guards. Lakers can't defend this AT ALL.

Golden State matchups have been just bad luck. On one hand they were lucky to win that crazy double in OT game. But that game shouldn't have gone into 2ot in the first place and the fallout cost them the next 2 games right after (@HOU, @ATL) because AD was beat up and Lebron was dead-legged. Lebron misses the 2nd matchup. AD gets knocked out in the first half of the 3rd matchup and doesn't play in the 4th matchup.

That stretch was completely on Ham. Reddish Prince and an injured Vanderbilt starting was actual sabotage.

Agree, I think he was annoyed at Reaves defense and was trying to send a message... Sent a message alright, the message was "I suck at coaching"

I actually thought the Lakers played really well considering what was going on with Payton and Draymond not missing a thing and the overall absurd shooting. Lakers didn’t even have a FT advantage. If the Warriors even shot a ridiculously good 21-41 from three, the entire game is different, but they wound up with a historic night.

The infuriating thing is that structurally compared to the beginning of the season, the lakers are easily a top 8 or better team, but now will likely not get anything out it because they’ll have to win two play ins. All those games thrown away to Hamboning is going to cost them dearly.

Also, as well as DLo has played, playoffs DLo showed up in the two crucial games. I have zero confidence that he can deliver in the play-ins/playoffs.

Just a killer. And yes, playoff, or big game DLO, seems to be a real thing. He just disappears almost every single time. It's why I just could never get excited about him, even when he put that great stretch together. Plus, there is his defense. The Lakers really are a bad organization from the top on down. And as a Lebron fan, it sucks he's hitched his wagon to them, but oh well. As I've said before, I'm just going to enjoy this greatness as long as it goes on.

Owner's fault. If your pockets aren't deep enough to change a coach this out of his depth you don't need a sports team you should move to real estate. That IST trophy may have turned out to be the worst thing to happen.
