Look at him cover Dalton Knecht:
He really gives me shades of OG in his freshman year. But OG didn't even had a 10.3 BPM and 4.3 DBPM. OG hit more threes in college, but he was a 52% from the freethrow line in college. CMB will get better with more reps.
Interesting player. Seems to be mocked all over the place. I’ll leave this one up to the pro scouts but he’s one of those guys who could be very good or outside the league in two years.
I guess you are referencing his shooting with the comment about being outside the league in two years. The 67% from the line is meh, but he was also 68% at the rim and flashed some mid-range touch at times. He also has a face up game and can drive the ball with big long steps to get to the rim quick.
I think at 18 he has time to develop the jumper, just like OG did. Beyond rim scoring, he has great passing instincts 17% ast rate and his FTR is 43.9 which is elite.
He is a bone crusher on screens and is just really physical in every sense. Defense and rebounding is where you see the high motor. I know he might end up returning, but this draft has very few excellent 2 way prospects and at his age and the conference he played in, he showed some serious upside. At minimum he is a Jae'sean Tate who can play PF and switch on defense. If he continues to develop on offense, he could be an OG type. His defense is excellent for an 18 year-old and he has some good instincts that make me think he is a high IQ bball player.
