Fever vs Liberty tickets in NYC are going for 400+. This season is going to be insane
Welcome to the W board. The mods are great and there are some folks here who have a great grasp of the international game and players. I've learned a lot.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been on the Pacers board forever but thought a thread here would be better than one there. The Pacer board has always been high on quality and low on quantity. I'll be surprised if the same isn't true here.

It'd be a legitimate question if we hadn't drafted Boston first last year.

Even then ownership likely gets involved to make sure Clark is taken #1.
The media hype is too much NOT to take her and figure out the rest later.

Without question.
South Carolina has a ton of high level talent. That doesn't change things though. Indiana takes Clark Without hesitation.
Boston and Clark will be a championship combination sooner than later.

Oh, I agree. Quite apart from which, Indiana has been posting a whole raft of #22 related posts for the last several weeks...

Re: Indiana Fever 2024
Slight tangent from the Clark talk, but Kristy Wallace had one heckuva rough season here in Australia. Knee never came good. She came back late in the season and gutted out some minutes (as her team made the playoffs) but she was a shadow of herself, and was just trying to do the Captain's thing.
We are members and sponsors of the team she plays for, and just watching her have to explain why she wasn't able to come back, week after week, was pretty tough to watch (obviously tougher for her).
I'm hoping she'll be recovered for the WNBA, but it wasn't a good off season.

In a barely 12 team league, they should win it all at least once if Clark is as good as the hype.

Have you seen the Aces lineup? Or the Liberty lineup? Not this year.
Maybe it's better not to be the best. Then you can lose and it's OK. - Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993)

Re: Indiana Fever 2024
I have hopes for Berger too. She was the queen of the mid-range at IU and with Boston inside and Clark outside she could flourish.

Berger was efficient in her minutes last season. She also has pretty good size for a guard and looks like she can potentially defend. There will be a lot of competition at the guard position for the Fever, but I would think her positional size/defense and ability to stretch the floor should be valuable for their rotation, assuming she keeps knocking down open shots.

Eeesh. Not great. I'd read the transcript, and that was bad, but the way he delivered the line makes it even worse/more creepy.
Just yuck.

It's crazy how comfortable this dude felt to just do that and not think twice about it....almost as if that wasn't his first rodeo. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near her and I hope the Fever act accordingly, if he doesn't get fired his credentials should be revoked.

Definitely not the first time he's made some sort of pass at a young woman
The more you talk to women, the more you find out just how many creepy old men are out there who will just say stuff like this to them and think it's fine.

Oh, the horror stories I've heard from women in my life are enough to make me constantly reflect on my own behavior past and present. As a man, you have to....the last thing I want to be is apart of the problem or contribute to someone's abuse or trauma with men. That sh*t is messed up man. Like lifetime sentences are being imposed on women/girls by men who don't know how to act, and dudes don't even think twice about that stuff. It's a privilege.
Also, at some point in a man's life you get to the age where women around Caitlin's age start to look like...YOUNG. like I'm a million years older than you as we know, and not to be funny, but she looks like a young girl to me still, same with Angel, Paige, Cameron etc. To me, they look like kids.
So when a 55 year old man takes it upon himself to sexually harass a 22 year old...that sh*t is gross man. Like yo bro you're old enough to be her father what is wrong with you?
There's a red line that as grown men you do not cross. That dude? He ran past that line and didn't even hesitate. If I was her father, there would have been a serious issue and I'd be raising hell behind the scenes with the league and his employer.
Grown/older men are supposed to protect young women. They aren't f*cking prey. And to be clear, regardless of age, no woman should have to deal with what she did yesterday. He's a creep.
