Bam can stay.. butler is on his last legs… everyone has got to go and we got to recreate Miami Heat basketball.. i said the same thing before the start of last years miracle playoff run.. this feels like we have oversaturated the core of bam and butler (and herro if you want to count him as part of it even though hes rarely there).
I dont see any moves we can do in the summer that will vastly improve our team but there is absolutely no way we can ask Arison to continue to pay tax for such a underwhelming team..
We cant hit a **** shot.. our team is putting up points comparable to 90s basketball..
You don't need to completely blow it up, but you have to make some moves, get some hungry players to Miami and at least 1 if not multiple aholes to push or challenge Butler each night. Crowder, Tucker, Strus and possibly Lowry and Iggy held those roles, this year there's nobody to get in Butler's face to motivate him on a Wednesday night in the regular season. Bam isn't that guy at this time and might not be that guy in the future.
Someone brought up a name in a twitter space tonight I've mentioned many times before, Pat Bev and people in the space laughed, what these people don't understand it's not about Pat Bev producing, it's about him motivating players on the roster to get more out of them. Miami needs an agitator.
Let me toss out a name that would get the fire going for Miami again for next season... Draymond Green. He's not the player he once was, but he's smart and willing to express himself to ANYONE and I completely believe you'd get more out of Butler and Bam with him on the roster.
