I wouldn't wish what he's had to go through on anyone.
What, making a schiitload of money and being rated as a top 15 coach of all time while living off one championship for the last 15 years? Doesn't sound like that bad a gig.

That's the joke. Rivers said this ridiculous quote lol...mjkvol wrote:zaz102 wrote:Tony Franciosa wrote:Doc loves it. Giannis not coming back gives him a built in excuse for underperforming again. he can coast for another year!

Speaking with the media on Saturday, Rivers summed up getting hired midseason with a strange quote.
“I’ve never done this. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone,” Rivers said, via The Athletic’s Eric Nehn. “It's going to be a challenge.”

Not with me. Mitchell can carry a team. Thing is, I think Maxey may be trending towards being able to do the same.

Gap isnt that big and yes Maxey is trending towards that direction. But Mitchell is the better player and better fit for now.
Im OK with either trading for Mitchell or just rolling with Maxey. Each has their own pros and cons.
Maxey’s biggest edge over Mitchell is Maxey has no drama unlike Mitchell.

Ah, gotcha. Didn't remember the quote.

I thought we had finally moved beyond the idea of trading Maxey other than our resident troll.
Why on earth trade a home grown, zero-drama kid who is on a rocket ride right now for a pain in the ass guy like this who might be the slightly better player (at the moment), and probably have to include other assets in doing so? Making that trade would be grounds for immediate dismissal.

Agree there’s no chance in hell we trade Maxey for Mitchell.
I do wonder if they could coexist with us, but probably not since they’re both undersized.
Mitchell may go cheap in trade since everyone knows he’s walking to BKN next summer.

Mitchell isn't going to sign an extension anywhere he goes. It's dumb to trade for him as an expiring. And if the Cavs are expecting Maxey in a deal, Morey's going to go crickets.
Maxey is 4 years younger and his max is less than Mitchell's max, which will really be problematic for team building and tax management when Mitchell's new contract kicks in.
If we are talking FRPs and an extension I would be open to it, but I think under no circumstances will he sign an extension so the point is moot.

I don't think he's suggesting trading Maxey. He's saying pair them up. Which was my idea as well. Better than Paul "Playoff P" George.

A high caliber iso player would be ideal but I don't want Spida he undersized we need a wing.
I rather resign Oubre,Heild and possibly Melton because they obviously fit around Embiid and Maxey. We gotta get creative with forward wing upgrades over Tobias.

I bet he is, as he has said it repeatedly to the point of agreeing with the troll. Maybe just doing a little trolling himself.

76 certainly can't hide his covert anti-Maxey agenda. He's suspect!!!

The fact that the statue is not the step over is absolute cowardice.

Embarrassing really. Are all the Philly"statues" miniature?
Looks like the reveal of a new annual NBA crossover award trophy.
