Yes, the Celtics didn't have anything to play for and their energy reflected that but when the Knicks are starting to pull away you can see their intensity reflexively ramp up because they are a prideful team, they are a winning team, they don't want to lose.
A slight lead, sure...double digits, ok, still not anything to wonder about but be up 30 points after 3 quarters and even if it's a game they have 'nothing' to play for they surely don't want to be down by that much. I wasn't too keen on giving them a playoff preview to strategize around but it is what it is.
With little to nothing to play for feels like weeks they were 14-3 in the last month. They have been on cruise control for a better part of the month and still whipping teams so while we can't take much from this game what we can take is if these teams meet in the playoffs it shouldn't be a lopsided affair.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
