I believe Beal had 2 points in the first half and I was thinking Goodwin could do that. Then Beal had 18 in the 2nd half with a steal and block and clutch defense to close out the game on Fox.

Bridges has been kind of meh to close out the season. He's only broken 20 points once in his last 11 games and has had single digits in 2 of his last 3.

Few minutes left in the rockets game, but Amen Thompson has 18-11-10 on 10 shots, has been dominant. Jalen Green finishes with another awful game to round out another awful season in which he was even less efficient than his rookie season. Got benched for the 4th quarter.
Amen Thompson: 15.3 points 10.6 rebounds 4.1 assists 2.0 steals 0.9 blocks 2.3 turnovers 57% TS
Scoot Henderson: 17.7 points 6.9 assists 4.0 rebounds 1.0 steals 0.3 blocks 4.3 turnovers 48.9% TS

I wouldn’t trade for him, but Ivey is going to be very available this offseason. I think they would have to attach an asset to get a player like Kispert in a return.
Sasser has clearly leapfrogged Ivey as a prospect, and Ausar will be back after a promising rookie season. They probably want Sarr in the draft.

You think?
I figure Detroit is one of the few lotto teams that's not particularly interested in Sarr since they have Duren and Beef Stew. If they landed the #1 overall pick, I'd expect them to try and trade down.

Maybe Risacher first, Sarr 2nd actually. They have two primary option PGs in Cunningham and Sasser, probably no interest in Topic or Sheppard. They have invested in Ausar, a promising young non-shooting wing. Ivey doesn’t really fit. No way they are interested in Castle. They need wing/off ball shooting.
I don’t think Duren and Stewart are preventing them from taking another big.

And we have to find a way to steal Dyson Daniels away from NOP. He’s Jalen Suggs pre-breakout right now. Great young player. I just can’t think of a realistic trade with them.

I’m not talking about giving up or not giving up on a player, I’m saying Green was the wrong pick. Franz Wagner is a significantly better player at the same age as Green. Same goes for Jalen Suggs and Evan Mobley. It’s a bad pick. Jalen Green is not a good player.
No one ever circles back on these guys because they always score a lot of points. People still think Jordan Poole is a good player. It’s too easy for people to claim that Colin Sexton is having some change of scenery breakout in Utah now.
Scoot over the Thompson twins was an awful pick as well. There is a clear theme here in my view. Drunk on upside.
I don't think anyone not related to Poole or outside of immediate friends think Jordan Poole is a good player. Some still think he can become one.
I do agree that inefficient volume scoring is the most overrated skill among NBA players. The things that make a player able to score at volume (athleticism, quick release, etc.) are indeed pointers to look for in a young player but as that player matures, it becomes harder and harder for me to justify shooting at volume inefficiently. That goes for Poole, that goes for Cade Cunningham, that goes for guys in the Hall of Fame.
I do realize that people disagree with me but from what I've seen, inefficient volume shooting is a team negative most of the time and when it's a positive, it's not that strong a positive.

Sheppard might make good sense for Detroit. They have a big PG in Cunningham, which allows them to play a small SG like Sheppard. (I think Sheppard becomes a true PG in time, but he can help them right away with his off ball scoring.)
That said, I don’t see them drafting Sheppard with a #1 or #2 pick.

Sasser was a 1st round pick that played 1300+ minutes and had a solid rookie season, put up 15&6 on 54% TS. There’s no way they draft another 6’2ish guard.
Think Detroit looks for wing help but takes Sarr if they get #1.
Portland: Wing help, think they would go Risacher if he’s there.
Charlotte seems like a great fit for Castle. Could see them liking Sheppard as well.
Toronto: wing help, Risacher/Knecht.
Washington and SAS are eyeing the same player if I had to guess: Topic.

6 turnovers for Curry and Thompson can't make a 3 or basket.

This was Klay's and/or Draymond's last game with Golden State.Kanyewest wrote:6 turnovers for Curry and Thompson can't make a 3 or basket.
It's time to pull the plug.
Bye bye Beal.

Hard to feel bad for a team that had Curry, Durant, and a bunch of championships. Felt bad anyway watching Klay flailing.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Out West - Denver is going to smoke the Lakers. I hope Sacramento takes that 8 seed. I think they put up a better than good fight against OKC. Could be anyone's game in the West, though. Kinda hoping for Minnesota to make it all the way through, just because Anthony Edwards is such a fun player.
Boston has such an easy walk to at least the ECF. Pretty sure we're going to see Philly/Boston in the east with Giannis not 100%.

Beal mostly invisible against Minnesota. Anthony Edwards has been great. Gobert also.
Cleveland has a lot of talent. I don't think Orlando has enough experience yet to make it by them. Cleveland/Boston should be fairly competitive, I think. Hoping so anyway.

Orlando needs a vet PG desperately!
