Mavs send: THJ/TOR 25 2nd/BOS 25 2nd
Hornets send: Micic
Mavs open up the full MLE and BAE under the 1st Apron, add 4th guard, whose game is similar to Luka, which is needed, since Kyrie and Exum are injury risk, they add salary in 26 which is necessary because the team needs accumulate salary to be a 2nd Apron, they are hardcapped at 1st Apron next year with no pathway to jump.
Hornets accumulate Micic salary into 1 year, and clear cap for the year after, get a good 2nd in TOR 2nd and another late 2nd.

I like the idea of Micic backing Luka. Micic is cooked right now logging heavy minutes as a rookie floor general. But he would make a fine backup PG for a playoff contender.
I prefer a young player for our timeline in return. I'm not sure Dallas and Charlotte remain a match.
And if we select Nik Topic, I have a feeling we lean towards playing Micic one more year to give Topic a soft landing as a mentor, and to fortify PG2 surrounding questions with LaMelo's ankles.
Though he's a great fit, I think his market is larger than Dallas and there's another team willing to pay a higher price.

Personally, I feel Micic would be wonderful in a lead role beside Suggs in Orlando.

I think Micic is a fun piece to have around young guys, but defense matters so I don’t love the target.
The extra (opening MLE) would make me do it though.

You think he's really worth more than 2nds and future salary relief? I'd be pretty surprised about that. But as always, if you can get top dollar for your player, go get top dollar.
The only real appeal for Dallas here would be the financial savings next year, so no loss to Dallas to not pull this off.

Of course we all aim for premiums paid for our players. I think Miami was the team willing to pay one for Rozier. Dallas paid one for PJ Washington. I don't think a team that earmarks Micic for a backup role is the one willing to overpay.
Nothing wrong with the value here. A team that sees Micic as a borderline starter is out there in my opinion. Even high end backups like Melton and Tyus Jones went on to command a high price before they were more established as starters.
Micic will only add to his value as he adjusts to this league. I like Orlando getting aggressive for him unless they want to overpay Melton or T. Jones in money alone.
Micic is being compared to Luka here for his creativity in playmaking and court vision that moves the defense despite his limited athleticism compared to his contemporaries. He reads the defense extremely well and your bench won't botch the game.
Anyways, my draft target is from Serbia as well, Nik Topic. Jokic is a perfect model of unselfish team play. Floor generals should command more than players selected in the second round not likely to stick. Hornets don't need any financial relief.
