UFC 300 - April 13

Post#1 » by Clav » Thu Apr 11, 2024 5:28 pm

UFC 300 is this weekend, and I'm pretty sure I will miss most of it sadly. I will try to catch what I can but hope yall enjoy the 3rd century of PPVs in the UFC.

UFC recently posted #100 and #200 on YouTube to watch the full fight, but this #300 card has top to bottom a lot of good matchups.... even if they kind of fumbled by delaying Conor's fight so long, he really should have headlined here just for spectacle's sake. Regardless the LHW title fight Main Event is compelling to me, though it would probably have been the Rio 301 headliner if I was the matchmaker

The rest of the card is stacked, and some big names. I'm not thrilled seeing Gaethje and Holloway beat the **** out of each other if it hurts their careers but it's my pre-fight pick for FOTN. Also Oliveira and Tsarukyan should be a really good one, and seeing how Kayla Harrison makes 135 vs Holm. Plus more great fights.

I'll post my picks for this one, but I'm on a cold streak from the past UFC fight nights, I picked loads of stoppages, very hopeful I know.

Pereira KO1
Zhang KO2
Gaethje KO3
Oliveira Sub1
Nikal Sub1
Prochazka KO2
Stering DEC
Harrison KO1
Lopes KO2
Turner Sub2
Rodriguez DEC
Miller Sub2
Figueiredo DEC

Everyone made weight, even Kayla Harrison.

It's funny the BMF belt allows 1-pd as normal fights do

Big win for Jiri, looked rough to start but let Rakic know he couldn't hurt him and finished the deal.

With Amanda outta the picture she's gonna murder everyone in that division lol. I would love to see her shut Julianna up, but think the UFC prolly just give her the next title shot against Pennington (who..no disrespect, shouldn't be a champion).

Going 25 minutes with Justin Gaethje and having no scratches on you is completely insane.

Max Holloway is the definition of BMF. So many other fighters would have played it safe knowing they already won; he cemented his spot as a Hall Of Famer imo.

Pereira is scary; if he wins his first fight at heavyweight i imagine we will start to hear talks of him fighting Jones. If Alex can keep it on the feet id like him in that match.
