His agent, Damon Lapa, conformed the news to ESPN today. He told ESPN a cause of death had not been determined, but a source told Fox News that a brain aneurysm was suspected.


Tough news....really a sad day for his young family. His child never knew him.....that's probably the saddest news out of all of this.

Godfrey is quoted on ESPN saying the Jays were hoping to bring him back, maybe that's what did it.

I tend to completely stop watching the Jays once they're out of the playoff hunt. Every September. I didn't even know this guy pitched for us.

Sad when someone younger than me dies.
