It forces you to care about things that absolutely shouldn't matter. Did the Bucks lose to the Pacers? I should be pissed, not happy they covered the spread or that Pat **** Connaughton hit 2 3-pointers.
Don't get me started on the guy who has 3 fantasy teams and then brags when one of his 6 starting WRs has a 150 yard 2 TD game......
I don't bet anything on Bucks, Brewers, Packers for those reasons. I want to focus on the game, not my bets.
When I bet I bet small amounts. I like to put thought into football bets. Baseball is like flipping a coin. Regular season basketball is tough too. I will make some non Bucks playoff bets. I also make some futures bets, SB winner, over/under wins etc...
It's a good thing imo that in Wisconsin you have to go to the casino to place bets. No remote app betting. I watch people betting at the kiosks. You can tell by the length of the slip that gets printed whether it's a straight bet or a parlay. I would say 90% of what I see are parlays, large parlays. Guys want to bet $10 and win hundreds. Betting $10 to win $10 is "boring". Parlays are bad bets. Too high of a vig. Even straight bets of course have vig, usually around 10%.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
