poor wording. brunson draws just as much contact as those two. they are just savants at getting kind whistles. it's up to the refs what calls are called, not the contact.

Embiid has a preternatural ability to draw fouls. It's not flopping he actually gets contact.

Embiid just gets the most favorable whistle in the league. There have been games where he gets 2-3 calls where he doesn't even get touched.

If he got the same bad reffing Brunson or Jokic gets he would be cooked as a superstar and his bad playoff performance becomes ever worse.

I hear what you're saying but not all 30 pt games are made the same, ya know? If he's not very efficient and doesn't generate a lot of open looks for his team-mates, then that's a win for us even if he gets to 30 himself.

Called this weeks ago when this dude was talking about how Embiid was finally fully healthy and had a great chance at the title. We all know Suxers fans will immediately huff the injury copium as soon as Joe L stars choking as always. He couldn’t even wait till the second round to start sucking this year, so of course the injury cope has to come out early as well.

76ers fans need to concede that Brunson is a better player than Maxey at this moment. It's silly to even have the argument.

A more interesting debate: who gets the better of the deal if they're traded for each other, straight up, in the offseason?

To consider:
- Brunson is 27 and Maxey is 23.
- Brunson has two years and $51m left on his deal after this season. Maxey will probably start next season on a 5 year $200m+ contract.
- Both are praised highly for their work ethic and character.

Who are you taking? I'm interested to hear non-partisan opinions, but the tone of this thread so far does not inspire much confidence.

Maxey had below average efficiency without Embiid and he did it at high volume as well. That's not a recipe for success. If Embiid is healthy the Sixers should win this series. However, Maxey is not on Brunson's level and those two should not be compared with one another.

You acting as if Brunson is magic Johnson or Steph Curry! I’m not comparing Maxey to magic or Steph I’m comparing him to Brunson. If you think Brunson is on some level Maxey will never touch you’re mistaken. If Brunson is better than Maxey it’s by very little. Maxey is on Brunsons level and I expect him to be definitively better than Brunson shortly.
