We’ve talked a million times about how he falls down a lot because it’s better than putting all that weight on his knees. These dunks sometimes don’t allow for it and are just too risky imo. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to tell him no dunks. It’s like how starting pitchers don’t usually throw their hardest every pitch because that is how you risk injury. You save it for when they have two strikes and you need it. This is a more extreme example of that. Think of QBs that learn to slide. Do you they sometimes take the hit with the game on the line, sure. But this wasn’t that time.

As others have said, it's hard to turn that off. It's instinct in games like this.

Do QBs not have the same instinct to win? They know though that getting hurt doesn’t help anyone and sometimes you slide. Again, this isn’t the Super Bowl.

QBs can very easily avoid intense contact and still be effective, their main impact involves them standing and throwing. Not the same for a mobile big man whose biggest strength is driving. Joel could just be a shooter and a tall statue on defense, be careful if that's what you're asking for though.
