Well drafting Maxey over Precious would have been a good move. The draft is very unpredictable in acquiring a franchise player.

If it's that easy, why aren't most tanking teams/top of the draft team doing great afterwards? Miami usually does it right although since acquiring Butler they've gotten shy on moving picks for really good players although we've seen Miami try to undercut teams for KD/Lillard.

They are though. Minnesota has their guy in Edwards and is the 3rd seed. OKC drafted many good players and is now the 1st seed with many good years ahead. Dallas got Doncic. The problem is that Micky can’t commit to a real tank and wants to hold onto just enough to put butts in seats. You’ve got to at least give yourself a chance though at these top guys

Sure, finally, they moved Love for the #1 pick in Wiggins, they drafted Towns and only after trading for Butler and now finally hitting with a #1 pick are they looking good. It only took Minnesota 15-20 years. Like I said the draft is very unpredictable.

How much better would Miami be with Maxey? They wouldn't have had to trade for Lowry and could have brought in some more talent since Maxey was on a rookie contract.

Agreed on Maxey and that was a big miss.

Back to Minnesota though, the Heat franchise is way better. Minnesota finally sticking is a case of a broken clock being right twice a day. Don’t believe Miami would have too bad of a time finding the next guy. But you have to be at the top of the draft to have a chance

You do? Bam was a late lottery pick, Michell was too, Butler was the end of the 1st round pick, how about Jovic and Giannis? What Miami COULD do is find their guy in the draft, possibly outside the top 3 and TRADE for the pick to get that player.

Hope we move Wright into the starting lineup the next game and bench Martin. All of Herro's ball handling woes would be alleviated, and Wright is one of the few making 3s this game.

I'd rather start Duncan. Wright isn't a great shooter. He'll go back to being cold. Duncan needs to play 30 + mins if he can. And I'd to have on the floor at the same time as Herro to alleviate the pressure on Herro. Jrue and White are man handling. Take one of them off him Herro to cover Duncan. And Herro got a chance on a switch against other defenders
