This is really not just a problem for this series, the Mavs starting like this. Even if they win game 2 and win this series, there is no way a team that wants to have a deep run, plays a game like this in the playoffs. It just doesn't happen, so this tells us something about them.

Clippers didn't even play well. Lots of moronic play in the back half of that 2nd quarter. They should be up by 40 but they kept making low BBIQ play after low BBIQ play. Don't be surprised when this lead gets whittled away and we have a single-digit lead late in the 4th. The NBA does not like blowouts. The refs will get involved

They actually did let up but it didn’t matter because Mavs couldn’t score in an empty gym by the end of half. There were plenty of missed wide open looks.

an 8 point quarter when u have Luka playing like 10 min of it is absolutely bonkers. You cant be vying for the MVP and best player in the league title doing this in the playoffs

I honestly thought Mavs had this game in bag, I really been looking down on Harden & Westbrook and the Clips.

But It all started there.
In the last few months,this Mavs team have been used to dominate inside even against a team like Denver....but the reverse exactly happened there from the start (and against a relatively small ball team) and I guess it shocked the whole team including Luka and Kyrie.

Harden and Westbrook are completely outplaying Luke and Kyrie. Make no mistake, though. This is how the Clippers were created. Long-arms. Perimeter defense. When healthy, they have the ability to play ++++ perimeter defense. They are designed for the playoffs. If Kawhi gets back, they are very dangerous. They check all of the boxes... But they still dont have any answer for Jokic.

If you back Dallas this series, it feels like you just want them to lose this Game 1 by 50 points so they are completely embarrassed and play with more fire in the second game.
