Tom Thibodeau would not stop repeating the same three words: Corey f—ing Kispert.

Kispert, the Washington Wizards sharpshooter, had just walked all over Thibodeau’s New York Knicks in the first half of a late-season game in 2023. A player averaging 11 points entering the night had already dropped 20 through two quarters.

With the Knicks down eight at the half, their head coach barged into the locker room.

“Corey f—ing Kispert!” Thibodeau bellowed. “Corey f—ing Kispert! Corey f—ing Kispert.”

He kept going, revving himself up.

“He said it like five times. … Every one just progressively got louder,” Josh Hart recalled.

Then Thibodeau reached his breaking point.

“How does Corey Kispert,” he crescendoed, “turn into Michael Jordan?!”

He would make a great realgm poster

I can get with this poll. Only the few and the proud can play here in NY. We prolly wouldn't want 90% of the players that voted on this so I can appreciate the sifting of talent. Just because you're good doesn't mean you're good for New York!!!

Maybe that's why you go after Mikal next year rather than a bigger star. He'd fit with Nova brothers plus he plays Thibs style D

It went unnoticed because he ended up failing in his attempt but Lowry 100% tried to injure Brunson when he hit that big 3 late in the 4th and proceeded to fall on the ground backward into the direction of Brunson’s legs
