Feels right. When the process is poor, luck tends to work against you.

Okay, then you can isolate any part of any trade and highlight.
We spent a 2nd rounder on Marc Gasol and he helped us win the title. Period. What an amazing value deal, totally a legit argument to make.
But that is not at all what I am saying.
I said the trade cost us a FRP. But more appropriately, Dragic cost us a FRP. It is extremely common place for people to say X cost Y, when you need to attach a positive asset to a negative one to move it.
This isn't new, stop pretending like it is, it is an extremely common way to talk about trades and their acquisition cost.
No matter how you slice it, the trade resulted in us sending out, or, costing us a FRP.
And no matter how you slice it, Marc Gasol cost us a 2nd rounder.
It's the same argument, how are you not seeing this? You are omitting other details of the trade to higlight a portion.
And you're right, he did. What is your point?
I have listed out multiple times the entire transactions of the trade, Thad/FRP/Dragic/SRP. We still lost a FRP, I'm not omitting anything.

Out of curiosity, would trading the 30th pick for the 31st pick and cash be best summarized as 'costing a 1st round pick'?
I mean technically yes, but I would be willing to let that one slide

It's gonna be Zach Edey.
Carter, McCain, Collier, etc. will all be off the board.

mccain won't be off the board.
if he is, other players will be available that the raps can still use: Tyler Kolek, Tyler Smith, Ja'Kobe Walter
In this draft, there is no difference between 16 and 19. Everyone in that group, like pretty much the entire draft, will be a role player who you hope one day, might become a starter.

I know tie breakers happens, but why don't they just determine it by seeding?
16 - Lakers (8th in West, going into play-in)
17 - Sixers (7th in east, going into play-in)
18 - Pacers (6th in east, going into playoffs)
19 - Magic (5th in east, going into playoffs)

Raptors not getting 6th or top 4 would be Chef’s kiss

That 6th pick is about to be San Antonio's in 20 days. That would be the cherry on top to this season.

Don't even care. Sarr wouldn't even be a top 5 in next year's draft. Retaining our 2025 pick is ideal. But I wouldn't be upset if we end up jumping into the top 4 this year.

Why must you say this? That would be so depressing.

One of those guys will be there, Collier being the least likely
