NBA Playoffs Thread

Mods, delete if necessary, but I thought we could have a topic devoted to the overall playoff games. Right now I'm watching Doc Rivers blow a 31 point lead despite the craftsmanship of Damian Lillard.

I still think the Bucks looks bad...

Lillard went off on the first half and still, they almost blew it on the third, the Pacers shot below 20% from 3.

If they get Giannis back obviously it changes, but they look like a team you can upset.

I feel like conventional wisdom has failed through one game.

1. Lots of noise about Phoenix being a bad matchup for Minnesota & they got worked.
2. Dallas was getting some massive hype heading into the playoffs & and they fell flat.
3. Indy over Milwaukee was a trendy pick & that’s not looking too good assuming Giannis comes back.

Watching the Pels, I’d love to spend a little money to get Naji Marshall this offseason. Let Tobias go & replace him with Marshall and we’re a better team.

Interesting to see how Hali performs in playoff type situations.

Yeah it's depressing watching KAT who tore his meniscus about a month after Joel tore his return like it's nothing.

Where'd all that November hype go? NBA Twitter was telling the world this dude was a Top 5 player because of one month and a Mickey tournament when the other 300 players are getting back into shape.

I don't see much slander for a 9 point playoff game today.

I was definitely wrong about Haliburton. Had him as a role player. But I was always concerned about that jumper getting off a shot in the playoffs when everyone is locked in.

I'm not trying to say he isn't or won't be great. I just hate the reactionary nonsense whenever a young star has a good stretch of games, especially around Thanksgiving, and then he's crowned as a top 5 or top 10 by the chronically online people. Let's see him maintain that level for an entire season or two.

Lowkey loving the lower scoring games so far these Playoffs. More defensive intensity. Please Lord, let the days of the 140-135 games be a thing of the past.

Philly should literally be running the same closing offense as Denver.

Joel screening for Maxey to find his shot or get it to Joel if defenses over commit... But only in scoring position. No more than 1 dribble needed

Joel can dribble it up court to look for easy buckets if defenses aren't pressuring him. He can spot up

TBF, Jokic only gets up to 3/4 speed

But he's so damn good the game warps to him instead of the other way around.

Tough for me to be too critical of Hali because he clearly hasn’t been the same since that hamstring injury. Still, he deserves to be roasted for such a playoff no show after talking so much sh*t when things were going well.

Between Nikola and Luka, doughy skilled players on top of the world right now. Why couldn't Joel learn these powers when he was pounding Chik Fil A milkshakes?

I told ya Siakam is way better than Tobias.

He would be a massive upgrade.
