Is there anybody in the league that would want Randle? I can't think of anyone and for sure nobody that would give up any value

Randle would be there for salary purposes, the main haul would be picks. do the Knicks own their picks?

Randle has a PO for 2025-2026 season, so he is not exactly an expiring contract which pretty much negates the idea of him just being salary filler. Plus Phoenix needs to compete now so trading KD would not be a salary dump rebuild situation.

As far as first round picks go - the Knicks have a ton. It looks like they have all of their own picks plus Dallas' pick this year. They are also owed 3 more first round picks in 2025 (with protection) from Detroit, Milwaukee & Washington.

It's too late to sell high on KD but they can still get a decent package. Same for Booker. I'm not sure they have a better option to be honest.

Having 2-3 prospects and a good amount of picks is better than having very low odds of winning with KD/Booker and go for a terrible rebuild without their own picks after that.

Trading for Beal was such a big mistake (even worse decision than Westbrook to LAL from cap space/salary and fit perspective). Can't blame them for the KD trade despite the fact that they gave up a lot.

I mean, I guess thats the one positive thing about Dolan? I don't know I don't want to go that far.

Booker likely peaked with CP3.

Without a guy setting the table like that for him he's just a huge ego who happens to have the ability to drop a 50 burger every now and then vs. teams laying down in the regular season. He's not somebody who makes his teammates better around him or flashes any leadership qualities - that's a huge problem since he's being counted on as THE pillar of the organization.

Would Warriors think Beal for Wiggins/Paul is worth the money? Might sell some seats and help window dressing they are indeed helping Curry in his final years.

I don't think any team is going to want Beal's contract. 50M, 53M, 57M after this year for a guy with a no trade clause who averaged under 48 games a season over the past 3 years, and also doesn't push the needle at all in the playoffs.

Beal was the big disaster for Phoenix.

Warriors would be better off trading for CJ
Bronny will become Murray 2.0

Then 15 years later, get good draft picks finally, fans are invested and spending, then billionaire sells team to new billionaire for 3-4x investment.

Aren't they just gonna sign CP3 on a cheap deal and run it back, and sell everyone that they have a real PG now that'll help them out in the clutch... They signed GA to 70mill, doesn't look like they wanna take a step back

I think you can blame them on the KD trade. Even just keeping Crowder and Cam Johnson would've helped with the wings (I know Crowder would've had to get dealt somewhere but at least you get a separate return)

That seems overly harsh but Booker shouldn't be your 1, if nothing else we learned that

What would a Durant to the Knicks trade look like?

I assume the Suns would want no part of Randle, but they do have other good pieces - Robinson, DiVincenzo, Hart, OG (opted in) and Bogdanovic (salary filler but also a useful player). Maybe two of DiVincenzo, Robinson or Hart along with Bogdanovic could work

It would be Randle and Mitch Robinson for Durant, but Randle would have to be moved to a 3rd team for a PG.
Lol garbage. I would want all 3 Villanova players to even consider trading Durant. I wouldnt even trade the Suns 4th best player for your Randy and Robinson is a backup at best.

You must be one of those Ainge wannabe posters trying to fleece other teams Lol

Trading KD for a talent downgrade plus rebuilding pieces in an effort to rebuild around Booker is a different conversation

Rebuilding around a 28 yr old sounds crazy.

By the time the rebuild ends he will be in his 30's.

If you trade KD it better be for pieces that fit and ready to win now. Suns are in a bad position quite honestly. The Beal contract is what hurts them the most because they are stuck with him either way.

Only way the dubs are getting back to an NBA finals is if Durant takes a time machine.

Keep booker and get rid of KD and Beal, if you can get value
