I'll take Siakam over George in any circumstance. I don't think he's a bad fit at all, Nurse knows his game inside out, the non-Embiid minutes issue could be solved to a great degree, and we don't have to worry about him spending most of his max contract time here on the DL.

I know in the past some here have been against it, because of lack of fit with Embiid, but overall even though he's not a great 3 point shooter, it's not terrible and has a good mid ranged game. But I think most importantly, he's the type of guy in the playoffs where if Maxey or Embiid are having a bad night and you need another guy to step up, he's absolutely very capable of getting you 30+. I think that is valuable.

Siakam has absolutely killed Milwaukee so far, so that bodes well even with Giannis out. He was the third guy on a championship team too. It's still not optimal. But better than nothing?

I will be shocked if Indiana lets Siakam leave. They will give him a 5-year max if that's what it takes.

Seems like Brandon Ingram might be the most gettable 3rd guy in the offseason. Trey Murphy is ready for a bigger role & Ingram is just not a long-term fit on that roster.

I think George is a slightly better player currently and a far better fit, but Siakam would be far less risky from an age and injury perspective. It's close. I think I'd actually lean towards Pascal, but would be ecstatic to get either honestly. Getting a 2 way forward with playmaking ability for free? Yeah, sign me up.

A Siakam max would fix a lot of problems for this team (rebounding, playmaking, blks + stls, Embiid injury insurance).

1) Siakam max
2) Remaining cap space (~$25 mil) on Oubre, Batum, and Melton
3) Room exception on Kyle Anderson (or another forward)
4) Reed + picks for Caruso
5) Lowry and Drummond for vet mins

Maxey/Lowry
Caruso/Melton
Oubre/Batum
Siakam/Anderson
Embiid/Drummond
