That’s a crazy weird handle. Super fast with the ball, easily able to change direction and speed, but it’s also way too far out in front of her and a little high, too. Almost like she’s baiting people to take a swipe at it.

That's probably how she gets defenders to lean in. Her hands are ridiculously fast.

Here's food for thought:

The men played at 9:30 EST on a Monday night

The women played at 3pm EST on a Sunday afternoon

You can make an argument that the women's number was actually suppressed because they chose to air the game outside of prime time. They hit 24mil at one point. I don't believe for a second that this number is the best that the game could've done.

I was slow to reply to this, but with the time differences factored in here, it was a major exercise to get up for the women's game, and easier to watch the men. I got up and watched the women, didn't watch the men at all. Same me who remembers vividly waking my whole house with shocked cries when Christian Laetnner hit his turnaround jumper, and who's dream for his 40th was to come to the Final Four.

Ten years has changed a lot!

I didn't watch the men at all either. There's no star power there, whereas the women have must watch players.

With all the focus on this year's draft, next season's draft class will be crazy scrutinised. I love all the eyes on college and WNBA, and it looks like next year's crop is going to be a strong one.

Top five to look out for:
- Paige Bueckers (UCONN) - obviously THE prospect people will watch.
- Aneesah Morrow (LSU) - now Reese is gone, watch Morrow's production grow.
- Kiki Iriafen (Stanford?) - would have been Stanford's go-to now Brink's gone but Kiki has hit the transfer market, so who knows where she'll end up.
- Olivia Miles (ND) - missed last season but the year before average 14ppg, 7rpg, 7apg, 2spg so can fill up the stat sheet.
- Azzi Fudd (UCONN) - the one I'll be watching the most. Has only played 40 games in three years due to injury. If she's healthy, look out.

Question mark:
- Hailey Van Lith (TCU) - Was great with Louisville and then fell off with LSU, HVL has jumped ship to TCU in the transfer portal. Is she good? Is she too short for the W?

Homer pick:
- Georgia Amoore (UK) - a fellow Australian, I would love to see Georgia take off with the Wildcats to bolster the Australian National Team.

I know it's waaaaaaaaaaaay to early to be talking about this, but it'll be good to have a reference for when next season rolls around so people can look out for some names.

Van Lith was just not a good fit an LSU and frankly got left hung out to dry by Mulkey. Is she good? Absolutely. Can she make it to the next level? I am not sure.

I get why she transferred away from Louisville for a chance to show PG skills on a good team.
But Mulkey didn't use her effectively in any game I saw.
Post-transfer, I assume she's going back to a more scoring role, but I don't see a path for her as a SG at the next level. Best case some sort of bench combo guard I guess, but I think the skillset of a Nika Muhl is much more what teams will want from their bench in terms of a player archetype (backup PG, 3 and D with decent handle)

Hopefully she gets a chance to build her confidence and brand back enough to get a chance to prove me wrong, but she seems more tweener than combo guard to me at the next level)

My daughter went and watched Jemma Amoore play in Ballarat last weekend.
She looks like Georgia out on court...lol
(May even be shorter though)

She's signed with Sac State, along with Rubi Gray (another Aussie PG).
Not sure how much coverage the Big Sky conference will get in Oz, but thought you might find it interesting.

The wait is going to be painful and the league isn't going to relax their age limit rule for her :noway:

Juju gives me the same kinda vibe I got from Carmelo when he played that one year at Syracuse. Like you just knew Melo should have been playing pro ball since age 18, that's how it feels watching Juju. By Junior year it's going to be a joke

There are a ton of factors, health above all, but it’ll be interesting if she can take a real run at Clark’s record. Certainly has the talent. Ahead of her freshman year pace. Going to need deep tourney success to simply get more games.

With Kiki coming in, and if the recruiting class meets its #1 expectations, the foundation could just be there.

Yeah honestly? I am not sure that Juju will break CC's record. I'll have to see it to believe it. CC's run was historical

JuJu is a flat better all around scorer than CC.

JuJu Run has started off historical. All she has to do is stay healthy. She is already on pace to beat her.

I think im all in on Rutgers this year. Both men and women. good to see another east coast program rise. I miss the old big east.

The men especially have a mean squad with two top 5 picks on the roster.

CC’s run was incredible and special to say the least. One doesn’t land where she did if it’s not.

I think JuJu has a legit chance if she can elevate her team success. Getting those extra 12 - 15 games in the conference and NCAA tourneys were huge for Clark’s total number.

38 and 39 games played her last two years compared to 30 and 32 her first two.

we'll see how her game develops as she ages because her light last year was way too green. i could see her start making more plays for her teammates. really what makes her special though is on top of her offense, her defense is ELITE. she has no ceiling

I love JuJu, but last year she was .401 FG%, .319 3P%, .445 eFG%, and .513 TS%. Not going to compare those percentages to any other player, but if you (a generic you; I think GG is making this same basic point) saw them in isolation, would you say that's a player who should have a 42.7% usage?
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

to be fair to her though that team was really lacking in talent and she's young so still figuring things out.

this year, they just picked up 3 5-star and 2 4-star recruits so with more mouths to feed and a lot more talent, i anticipate her scoring to go down but the efficiency and assists to go up
