If the QB isn't play now ready, we shouldn't be trading up from 6 to get them.

I kinda disagree with that. Some QB's need time to sit.

KC traded up for Mahomes and he sat a year

If you see star traits but they need some development (and a couple of the guys are 21 years old) I see no problem to having them sit.

I would agree, but realistically Jones is unreliable and our only other option is Drew Lock.

If we draft someone at 6, they most likely aren't sitting.

My gut has been telling me for a while that JJ was going to be that guy. Idk if that’s a good or a bad thing but it just seem
Inevitable. That was TMI from him though. I usually like the candidness from players but not if they’re going to blow up our spot. Maybe it’s another Malik Monk draft situation. He was so convinced he was being drafted by the Knicks that he had an orange liner in his suit. Then obviously that didn’t happen. If we are going to draft JJ, I really hope we can do it without having the trade up. I know it’s unlikely but being able to give JJ a wide receiver with the 2nd round pick would be really nice.

the Giants aren't competing for much next year. They will let Jones and or Lock get the job and the QB will get the clipboard for the year if they pick a QB.

That has always been the plan.

this is interesting...this makes me think they don't want Maye. If you wanted your franchise QB why all this haggling back and forth just say you are picking your future QB and be done with it.

We basically know the #1 and #2 picks in the draft. Really seems like Pats are trying to fleece the Giants to make a 3 for 6 trade but want the Giants to pay up.

I wonder if it could be a draft day trade like Eli...if Pats pick Maye and then we pick JJM maybe they do a pick swap with some more assets going to NE?

yeah it sucks I will be glued into the knicks but keep the computer on the draft. Wish it was on different days because it sounds like some fireworks are going to happen after the first couple of picks in the draft.
