It's unlikely. But definitely possible (with Cleveland). Especially now that we see Joe is exactly as bad as he was last season. And our players don't seem any tougher for all their experience.

Most infuriating part about the loss for me is Tatum and Brown pretty much did their jobs.

The others were horrific.

I’m not ready to make all sorts of absurd calls about the team like some in here though.

Want to see how they adjust in the next game. Still very confident in my assertion that this team is built different to previous years.

What are the Celtics not doing that Sam can't resolve as Joe's number 1 man?

I was told last summer he would resolve all of the issues we saw with Joe as a rookie coach.

He solved none of them.

It's a different story.

Hiring Sam in 2022 would have eliminated Joe from the picture or at best Joe would just continue as an assistant.

Joe is very stubborn.

Even Sam Cassell won't win over Joe when it comes to who's boss.

But what has Sam done that tells you that he should he the coach? Am I missing something? I don't recall him being a head coach anywhere at any level.

Sam is just one example.

Once I heard Ime was out and will not be coach of the Celtics, I wanted Brad to hire a veteran coach.

A rookie coach just does not make sense coaching the Jays.

we have no power. otherwise, the team would have done better with differing opinions long ago. I know I'm tired though. not giving up but not feeling rah rah all the time. we keep losing games to them like we didn't see it before.

I don't blame Brad for hiring Joe in the circumstances that lead to it. I blame him for doubling and tripling down when it's clear he really is over his head.

Coach Spo is the best coach in the league by far.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. JT needs to work on his shot making skills. He is missing too many layups. Some of them really easy ones. A little contact, and he loses control. He could have had many and1’s if not for his poor shot making skills. He doesn’t even use the backboard that well. Guys like SGA, Luka and Ant edwards are better because they have better handles, better mid range game, and ability to still make shots even with contact. JT is just too soft and finesse. He also doesn’t have the takeover mentality like most superstars have. Sorry but that’s just the reality.

Now you are a person who understands the C's. Wyc is not some cheerful friendly guy who just rolls over for his basketball ops people. He is an alpha. And Rich Gotham is a totally different animal altogether.

Wyc demanded changes last summer after we flamed out. And Wyc is far less enamored of Joe than Brad is.

Porzintis and Holiday show up and the team plays better d and they win fairly comfortably.

They shouldn't need a billion points from Brown and Tatum to knock off a Butler less Heat.

Tatum missed some shots in the fourth but that wasn't why we lost.

Like I said, not everything is Joe's fault.

Brad has a hand in this and the players are certainly more to blame than the coach.

One thing that I haven't seen from this Celtics team is intensity like what the Knicks show every game.

I watch for entertainment. I also watch because it feeds my competitive ego.

There's many reasons to watch. I'm not the positive guy, that's other posters. But I do give credit when it's due. I don't hold the party line no matter what.

That's the difference between me and some others. It's ok to say they got it wrong when they did. It's not the end of the world.

I enjoy how he's never on the right block when I see him do his spin move baseline and score or get fouled consanty when he is there.
