Epic shooting performance by Embiid and some of it was not defensible, but some of it was and it became too easy for the Sixers to feed him on the perimeter. It allowed him to conserve energy and keep it going to the end

There was a lot to like about this game until we fell apart defensively in the third.

Also, Brunson had good numbers, but he is still not the same guy IMO. It was a major step in the right direction, but I still felt he was not reading the pulse of the game and involving his teammates on offense at the right times, thus taking some ill-advised shots. His turnovers were not his usual quality level of play either. Overall, Brunson needs to lead a bit more even if it means scoring a bit less.

Sixers deserved the win. I have no complaints. Embiid is still a diva twat, but he beat us fair and square this game.

I don't know how you can say fair and square when Joel was trying to hurt our guys out there. Joel shouldn't have made it out the 1st quarter. And I just saw the OG bump. And there was a play where Joel stuck his leg out to try to trip JB. That's BS.

OK, point taken. He is a dirty, two-faced bitch. Not sure their filth produced a win though which is where I was coming from.

I try not to be a whiny bitch when we lose if the losing margin is more than anything a ref or a thug has done. If it results in sidelining one of our guys, then yeah sideline them in response. Otherwise, I want to get ready for the next game rather than wallow in regret.

One of the TNT announcers said if the Sixers win the next game the advantage goes back to them. WTF are these people? We will still have home court advantage. My attitude is as long as we learned from this loss we can come back to take the next one. This game was still very winnable despite the ridiculous 3 point shooting by them.

They have the home ref advantage....but seriously it would be nice for us to be able to build a big lead early.

look, it takes a special kind of maniac to try to intentionally hurt someone. i'm sure most athletes feel like they wouldn't want that to happen to them so they don't do it to others. the problem with foul calls like this is the refs respond more to your reaction than what actually happens. if mitch did an acting job and grabbed his leg and acted like he was seriously hurt they probably would have thrown him out. but because he just got up they didn't treat it like it's a big deal.

At least 4 different times the Sixers, mostly Embiid, flagrantly trying to hurt players and the refs basically stopped calling even common fouls on him for it. Just let him do it.

This isn't just some jersey tugging no calls that both teams were doing, this is really serious stuff. Multiple rakes across the face, multiple groin shots, airborn leg pulls, armbar elbow hammer, all of these intentional.

How do they get away with it? The league has to answer for this.

Then the Sixers, again mostly Embiid, go white hot from 3 for a quarter and they barely could stay ahead of the Knicks even with all that. Sometimes it just goes that way, huh.

Joke of a league letting these dirty players go unpunished as the same known players get away with it over and over.

What else is there to say except I hope our players aren't hurt too bad, right? Nothing else other than try to win next game.

What happened tonight? Embiid isn’t going to shoot 39% from the field every game. He was going to get back to his usual self like Brunson did tonight.

And btw he had 34/10/6 in game 2.

I’m not sure why you want to die on this hill. It’s pretty obvious that playing the pacers would’ve been a much better option. We have Embiid injuring our players and dropping 50 in the process.

Was at the game. 3rd quarter was absolutely insane and an anomaly. The guys started to figure some things out towards the end, but it was too late. Also, Embiid was mad dirty all night. I was sitting by some Sixers fans and even they agreed the stuff he was pulling was dirty.

You could also tell this was a make-up game by the refs for what happened in game 2.

We'll be alright. Weather the storm and move on. We knew this wasn't going to be a cakewalk no matter what. One game at a time.
