I see your reasoning totally, and the points you all raise, I can see why this is hard. So the play you posted is a great example of why size difference matters. Joel embiid and jokic gets hit with that level of force and hits people that hard every game. Because it’s required. You don’t need to hit aj green like that. That’s why the 2 was called instead of just one.
So obviously that’s not the situation here because they’re the same size and the force was lent there embiid grabbed his leg and pulled it. BUT as many have said, this is extremely dangerous and could have ended badly. Is that enough to eject a player from a playoff game?
