My opinion but I would want no part of Lamelo Ball asa max player and face of the franchise although. No from Lakers.

This doesn't make a lot of sense for the Hornets. They are not close to being a playoff caliber team and Davis isn't going to change that by himself. The only real path for Charlotte is to develop their young guys and hope they hit their potential, which is going to take years that Davis doesn't have.

Lamelo is a decent buy low (ish) candidate, if he can stay healthy he could reach the Trae Young level .
For me it is because Ball is hurt so often, and I think Charlotte would be better off running the team through Miller (as others said, Miller is going to be better).
That being said I would adjust the trade a bit. Send Ball/Richards to LA for AD and a FRP.
Turn Bridges around with a S&T for someone like Murray. Then use their FRP (depending on where it lands) could be Sarr, Risacher, Buzelis or Clingan.
Team gets remade and ready for the playoffs.

He doesn’t fit a timeline. Have to imagine if they trade LaMelo it’s more for a picks and prospect based package.
It’s a good point. The move is a win now, be relevant now vs hope Ball doesn’t get hurt again.
Perhaps there is a better move using Ball and/or Briges?
