Re: Pacers vs Bucks: Series Thread
Great start for the Pacers. Playing their up the court fast game. Bucks trying to take away Siakam is letting Tyrese get free. Obi on point tonight hustling and scoring. Bucks missing their outside shots but getting to the rim a bit too much.

Re: Pacers vs Bucks: Series Thread
Good first half keeping the Bucks down by 12 at 67-55. Lillard really helping us going 2-10 and 0-4 from 3. No contribution from the Bucks bench is awesome. Hopefully that wears down their starters more.
Bucks 42% from the field while the Pacers went 50%. Nesmith’s shooting is the only Pacer a bit off but he’s still contributing. Pacers controlling the boards 25-17 so far.
Very balanced effort from the Pacers with Siakam not being depending on to create offense. I’m sure he’ll get his in the second half especially if the Bucks try to limit Tyrese or Myles.

That foul at the end of the first gave the Bucks life. We need a big third q.

Bucks beat us in the 3rd again. Pacers have to get running again.

Pascal misses key free throw after makina huge bucket. We've missed 6 ft and they've only missed 1

Ballard trying to do his part traded down. Pacers not so much.
Just hope they can get back to finding Myles since not much else is working. Pacers not getting open shots. Bucks physically defending.

Re: Pacers vs Bucks: Series Thread
Wow too close for comfort but as resilient as the Bucks were the Pacers bent but didn’t break.
Obi Toppin was huge in the first half when the Pacers could run.
Myles Turner was huge all game.
I think Nembhard was equally impressive guarding Dame and coming alive in the fourth quarter with crucial rebounds and points. I think he saved the game for us.
Nesmith struggled all game but finally finished with some positives. Tyrese also struggled and got on track late.
Siakam was steady but defended better by the Bucks tonight.
Pacers shot 43% for the game and the Bucks 46%. Pacers won the rebounding battle 50-43 with less turnovers and less fouls than the Bucks.

1-12 from 3 is not stellar play.
8-22 from the field 36% is rough.
That’s why I felt he struggled. He admitted he couldn’t buy a bucket.
Yes he excelled in rebounding and assists tonight.

Very short list of players with triple doubles and game winning shot.

I thought the Bucks would try and slow it down and muck the game up. Luckily they could only get that done in the second half. Moving forward have to do a better job of keeping Lillard off the line. That kept them in it. He does a great job of getting them to call contact.

Re: Pacers vs Bucks: Series Thread
A couple thoughts, most of which have nothing to do with the game.
I laughed during the last time out, when the camera showed Carlisle giving instructions to the team, and Jenny gave him a look like "You want them to do what?" I'm sure that isn't what was actually happening, but the visual was funny.
Hubie Brown. Had not heard him in a long time. I mean years. I wasn't even sure he was still alive. The last time I heard him, I thought he might have gotten a bit senile, but last night he was excellent. 90 years old and still doing the job. That was so good to hear. Very rarely watch ESPN and find most of their people to be loud, annoying and sometimes just plain old stupid. They could all learn a lot from a guy like Hubie.

I had the Bally broadcast on but I might have done it differently had I known it was Hubie. Actually though, after the first hour I turned down the sound and played the Locked On NFL Scouting podcast's coverage of the draft.

Crazy game, and yes, Hali was incredible at the end, but he needs to fix his shooting asap...
Myles and Nembhard were both so great and clutch...and really have been, aside from game 1...(Nemby is such a smart, fearless and clutch player, I can't believe this is his first playoffs and only his 2nd. year)...
We really needed them because Pascal was practically invisible and couldn't even come through with that end FT we really needed, but I'm sure he'll have a better game 4...
Can't wait till Sunday!

How though? Some of the foul calls Lillard has gotten this series boggle the mind. And I've been watching the NBA awhile. I'm aware you can't touch a superstar with your pinky or let yourself get in the way of a leg kickout

If he doesn’t play we can’t foul him. Unless Malloy is on the game.
He has shot so many free throws for a guy that doesn’t really attack the rim. I agree there have been some really tough whistles. There’s been some really silly ones by the Pacers as well.

This whole series I been sitting here thinking if they're gonna call the softest fouls possible for Lillard, you might as well foul him extra hard, beat him up a little, and wear his old ass out some lol.
