Hali cooked Beverly on that last possession.

Makes me wonder why they look to lock in decade long deals? Especially in this market.

Lean times? The NBA hasn't really had that in a rather long time and TV rights deals have exploded exponentially.
2002 - 6 year deal with ESPN and ABC for 2.4B
2008 - 8 year deal for $7.4B
2016 - 9 year extension for $24B
2025 - 10 year deal...
I may be off, but my thoughts are that the streaming TV services landscape is going to have drastically change by then, a shrinkage/consolidation/mergers of sorts. Too many players and not chairs for when the music stops. So many people I know have started slimming down the amount of services etc, e.g. having one main package (Disney/Netflix) and rotating another as they get bored.
I just think that those companies left standing would become somewhat desperate to add to their offerings that they may get more in 5 years.

Franz had 34 on 17 shots. We'll never have a young stud like that, will we?

From trading for a star while making your rival even better. Now Lillard is already privately disgruntled. To firing a coach, to get an even worse replacement so far. It's a disaster.
But I actually think PHX maybe neck and neck.
PHX is locked into this team for the foreseeable future. KD is still KD but will be a year older (36). Booker is Booker but Beal did not make them into this powerhouse. He has missed alot of games and they could say chemistry is one of the reasons but I am not sure about that.
They literally cannot make any more moves to the team. They have to hope and pray some 2 way or little known free agent becomes a big contributor.

Yea there is baggage, but he is excellent when he's playing.
