Cavs lost on purpose the last day to avoid being 2nd and facing Miami/Sixers . Now getting what they deserve

Man the WC semis are going to be incredible with Mavs/OKC and Den/Minny. I know Mavs are only up 2-1 but I think they prevail.

Also Kawhi is done and it’s been that way for a while. Amazing player but damaged goods.
Yeah, I don't like the situation we're in one bit (probably losing our pick next year in a seemingly great draft to get a quality 2-guard while not being a playoff team is hideous), but at least if this era fails we can move Barnes in 3 years for the full boat of a package and start a tank up at least 3-4 picks and 1-2 swaps and with a couple young players.
If the deal was say Barnes, Trent, Boucher and Thad for KD, we'd have VanVleet-OG-KD-Siakam-Poeltl and while that team is extremely solid and huge and maybe makes the conference finals even in the weaker East, a bench of say Precious, Schroder or Vincent for the MLE at guard and Oubre on the wing is probably death in a proper series against Boston, maybe another East team playing well and certainly the West champion. And then we're in cap hell even if we can keep everyone (that's like a 180M for the starters, so over 200M total) and our best player is 35.
If KD was 2-3 years younger and into the move and Van Vleet and OG and Siakam all give you their word they're staying if you get KD, I think you pull the trigger, that's a hell of a starting 5 and either everyone stays healthy and Siakam hits his 3s and you make a serious run, or someone gets hurt or Siakam and Poeltl is too little shooting to space the floor and you go out, but that's the NBA.
Where's the D?

Yeah, really starting to feel like with Kawhi, Butler, Giannis and Embiid hobbled, there's a clear top tier of 4 teams (Boston too) and Dallas has Luka and Kyrie and at least got some guys out there and their centers can move enough to keep up with Chet and OKC, so puncher's chance of an upset and at least fun to watch even if Luka and Kyrie don't have quite enough help.
The optimal neutral playoff watching outcome is probably Boston struggling enough to make the East competitive and Denver losing so the finals look real open between Boston and whoever. A Boston meltdown against Miami or Orlando/Cleveland would be fun but I can't quite get there without an injury to Porzingis.
Where's the D?

Is the NBA really going to have LeBron get humiliated in primetime on a Saturday night? Nuggets are going to finish them off....

Are we expecting the Nuggs/Den to punch their ticket into the 2nd round or will the Lakers have a miracle upset? 11

Man, if you told me years ago Lowry and Nurse would be on the sixers and playing the knicks in the playoffs, I would never in my wildest dreams think I'd be cheering for the knicks. But god damn, Embiid is the worst superstar to watch in the league, just makes games beyond unenjoyable.
Props TZ!
