Fun to look back:

11. Minnesota Timberwolves (B). Picking Anthony Edwards at No. 1 was the safe bet. But they didn't take LaMelo Ball, a riskier player who could bring a huge reward. Minnesota also was positioned to trade the top pick for several other elite players. Still, Edwards is a dynamic offensive talent with score-at-will ability. Acquiring Leandro Bolmaro from Argentina was a nice pickup, but Bolmaro is planning to stay overseas for at least another season. Trading to get Jaden McDaniels at No. 28 was a solid move.

It will be interesting to see if we get any more attention after wins, or if it will just be how Denver lost it.

One of the reasons? Sure.

Only reason? Nah, Finch, great mentors in Rubio and Conley, Towns keeping him from being doubled, drafting of Jaden (and trade for NAW) to reduce Ant’s fouls on top perimeter defenders …. There’s lots of reasons. Gobert is certainly one of them, but this guy is making a logics fail, when he sees an effect, and picks his cause.

I would be curious to see a poll on the Gobert trade right now. To me, if MIN wins a championship, whatever you paid for Gobert is worth it. Flags fly forever. But how far we advance, and how the organization has done a 180, affects whether people will see trading all those assets are worth it. I think already people are starting to change their mind on “The Worst Trade in NBA History.”

With all this media attention on ant, some good sized bets being dropped on us.. went from +1100 yesterday to +850 now to win the championship.

I love the way this guy breaks down each possession, it gives such a good window into what was going on and all that goes into causing a turnover or getting a stop. I really takes all 5 guys giving effort and doing their jobs well.

Wolves making defense exciting to watch and bringing it back again would be a great narrative for the league to sell, don't you think? :D

20 years after the Pistons won a title with their defense.
