Steph Curry obviously shatters that argument. Kind of funny when they say Steph "is not that small". Like are we going to make that huge distinction between Brunson at 6'2 and Curry at 6'3 ?
Also in case of Iverson: As great as he was, Iverson always struggled a bit efficiency wise on offense. Still if you took a prime Iverson and put another two way all-star next to him then definitely "Yes" , he could have won a title. Obviously he wasn't going to beat Shaq and Kobe by himself. Iverson had great defensive supporting casts but didn't have great support on offense.
The argument in itself was just weak. If you have a guy that can put up 25-30 points on like 48%/40%/85% then no matter what his size is, you can win with him as your 1a on offense. You obviously need to build the roster more precise around him to make up defensive deficiencies. Like I wrote during our january run and repeated numerous times: This team if healthy can win a title ALREADY. Like today with no further additions made.
But to make it more clear: in an alternate reality where the Nets traded us Bridges for Bojan + picks and stuff and you start a line-up of:
Brunson
Bridges
OG
Randle
Mitch
with Deuce, DD, Hart, Precious, IHart off the bench ---you would still have Brunson as your 1a. No one in his right mind would argue that above team couldn't easily win a title. Heck they would likely be favored to win it all.

The reason the argument is so weak is because she points out a player who debunks the argument in Curry and then engages in special pleading. Curry is a great player who shattered the mold and changed the game but if he can do it there will almost certainly be others down the road who can as well. No matter how great unique and special you think a player is there will always eventually be someone else. Will Brunson be that dude, idk. But a lot of these blanket declarations like a small guy can’t win are just stupid

Absolutely, and the series is rightfully 3-1 Knicks. I'm only speaking about what's left in front of us.
We just had better execution down the stretch is why were 3-1
