Excellent and well deserved. Only Joe can prevent him from legendary status at this point.

We're spoiled.

The opposite is true too. If the team wins a championship with Joe, then Brad will receive even more credit for picking him.

Well deserved. Getting rid of Smart and Grant, turning it into porzingis and Jrue is really masterful lol.

Out of all the season awards, I'm glad Boston got this one. Brad is the GOAT
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Clearly well deserved. Smart into Porzingas and Picks was amazing. Getting White as well. I love his use of 2nd round picks though that remains to be seen how those guys materialize.

I don't know if it's ever happened, but it seems almost impossible for a team to win executive of the year and coach of the year in the same season. COTY is for the team that most exceeds expectations; EOTY is for the team that recently gained those expectations.

Hey listen, I don't want to be a downer, but...

You know how the Red Claws won game 1 of the G League finals, celebrated on court like they won a championship? And then they came back and lost the next two games?

That seems to be Celtics culture under Brad Stevens. Lets see how things play out from here before we give him his props.

The previous five franchises to win this award are the Grizzlies, Suns, Clippers, Bucks, Rockets. Only the Bucks won a chip in the aftermath (and not the immediate aftermath).

ofc, last time a Celtics exec won the award, was '08

Jfc, there is always one isn't there? He put together a great team, it's up to the team to win it all. Give him his props and don't be a downer.

If we take it a step further, if you look at the numbers (net rating, BPM, games played, +\-, points per 36 mins, 3 FG%, TS%, etc.) during the 23-24 season and you compare Grant/smart/rob/brogdon to KP/Jrue/Hauser/Pritchard, it's pretty staggering stuff.

Plus you look at the bargain contract Kornet is on and look at how well he played this season as a 3rd big..while rob missed basically the entire season..

It might seem heartless to trade guys who are damaged goods but Brad knew what he was doing when he traded Rob, Kemba and Brogdon.

and Brissett also gave valuable contributions this season on a dirt cheap contract - despite being a guy who it seemed like no other team in the league wanted to sign - but Brad has an eye - not just for talent but for guys who will fill a role and play that role well - and also guys who are good fit off the court - not just a good fit on the court. Guys like Kornet, Brisett, Hauser, Pritchard - are just awesome chemistry/locker room/vibes guys who say all the right things, get along with everybody, bring positive energy..

Congrats to Brad! Very well deserved.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Like most awards (MVP, ROY, all-NBA, COtY,, 6MOY, DPOY, etc.) this is a regular season award.

Playoffs do not factor in to it.
