His decision making never improved. He was in the top 2% athleticism in the league during his prime. Usually when guards become vets, they don't beat you with their physical talent, but with their skill, experience and craftiness. Westbrook plays like this is still his first year in the league.

Mavs really did well by their late season surge, they got very lucky with KL injured and a very favorable matchup in the semis as they'd probably lose to both the Wolves and the Nuggets
now they'll be rested and whoever survives the other semi would probably be banged up and very exerted

hmm, I watched their games vs. each other this season and after a lifetime of playing and watching basketball that's my intuition
OKC are awesome but they are mostly young, they weren't tested at all vs. the depleted Pelicans
Chet is great but he doesn't have the girth to battle with Mavs bigs inside, they lack the front court depth and size to challenge the Mavs. plus the Mavs have the best player in the series and OKC doesn't have a single player who can make it difficiult for him
experience is also a major concern for OKC, they are not yet on the level of beating Luka + Kyrie in a 7 game series, no way no how (assuming everyone is reasonably healthy)
Idk about "confident", that's just my opinion. i'm pretty confident the Mavs will win and I think they should win pretty comfortably too. if u wanna bet, we can bet
