Knicks need to win this Pacers series for things to feel meaningful.
This is fair
Nah...we should celebrate. There's more to do, but this was a good win.
This Philly team was pretty good. This is a better team than the Cavs team we beat last year. Cavs and Bucks basically lost games to avoid them. We were missing key personnel. They played dirty, leveraged the refs, etc. Lots of national media, aside from Perkins, down on the Knicks. Knicks fans showed up in their arena and made their ownership buy tickets. Gritty wins all around...tough offensive rebounding. One potential devastating loss, followed by redemption. 40+ minute games for our starters. Close games all around.

I wish we held the first qtr lead when Embiid went to take a sh*t. I truly wonder if he would have come back out if he saw his squad was still down 20+.
But, all is well that ends well.

This is why you bet on guys with winning pedigrees. When the margins are razor thin guys who tend to have been around success find a way to tilt games in your favor. Had a gut feeling Hart and Donte would show up in an elimination 6 and boy did they show up. Compare that to what Tobias Harris and Paul Reed did in this game... There's your series right there. Winners vs. Losers.
OG Anunoby should be a Knick for a long time. Just an incredible athlete. So many timely buckets and wrecking plays defensively off the ball. In a series where there wasn't really a natural on ball matchup for him he still found a way to be the best defensive player in the series. Now if he could just start making those pesky free throws![]()
Does Thibs get credit for winning a series that he did not have the best player in, down an all-star player and a rotation guy that was traded for mid-season? Or is that only reserved for coaches like Spo?![]()

Next year has to still go up, even after Most Improved
Needs to become more consistent and add some wrinkles to his game

He runs he players into the ground they say.
Maybe there's a method to the madness

I'm going to borrow a page out of Becky Hammon's playbook. I don't think Maxey is a 1A player. He's a heck of a 2.

Yeah - but I suspect that goink forward he'll be their closer.

Thibs is doing what Riley did before him. There just wasn't any minutes police in the 90s.
