Clippers should court the heck out of him. He’s almost certainly going to decline his team option in 2 summers.

Miami is the team that scares me most as a potential Spida destination. If they turned Herro, JJJ, and their picks into Spida that team would be major contenders.

Mitchell/Bam/Butler is going nowhere. Sorry. Not good enough to win a title with those three on MAX contracts. Not a single first team all-NBA caliber guy.

I'm so bummed by how he's regressed. I'm still a huge fan of his skillset, but playing 2nd fiddle to Mitchell isn't the right role for him. Have him switch teams with Franz and I think he could just explode as Banchero's robin, but the Cavs can't move him until they get Spida to commit. So Garland is just sorta stuck as an insurance policy atm.

I don't think you're wrong, but if Mitchell leaves, which I hope he does not, just don't bring in a wing who can run the point, and I think Garland flourishes.

I can see that. Though I wonder if there's a little loss of trust with the organization having brought Mitchell in, not necessarily to replace Garland, but in hindsight he has kinda supplant DG in the hierarchy. Such that Garland would benefit from a fresh start someplace he felt really wanted and less like the 2nd-choice.

I’ll be in the minority not being a big fan of Mitchell. He really is an incredible individual player. Not sure you win big with him as your leader.

Just watched what, 7 straight possessions where he didn’t even consider passing to a teammate except for one of them where he was totally stuck in the air and turned it over.

Yes, he’s cooking, but when you shoot more than the rest of the starting lineup and freeze out the entire rest of your team…I just don’t see his style working on a serious winner. Unless you can pair him with Joker, or healthy Embiid/Giannis.

Also this is best case scenario of his playstyle. Usually its inefficient headless chicken basketball with lots of turnovers late in the game ala russell Westbrook.

And he still had a crucial turnover that sealed the game despite this being a best case scenario from him.

I wouldn't go that far, Tyson would often average less than 10 ppg most seasons even in his prime, Mobley has averaged 15-16 ppg each of his first 3 seasons.

This was nothing short of a disaster for Cleveland. I can't think of a worse way to end this game. I have no idea what offense the Cavs were even running down the stretch. It was beyond ugly. I know Mitchell got his points, but the rest of the team just got out of his way and watched him lumber around. Part of that is on the players but part of that is on the coaching staff.

Just absolutely awful. The Cavs will be the favorite in game 7 but I can't imagine JB has more than 5 or 6 games left as the Cavs head coach.

I dont think the gap is seismic tbh. Wade is obviously clearly better but i feel like Mitchell is one of the more disrespected stars in the league. Like hes no worse than Brunson who's everyone's flavor of the month atm

It's pretty significant to be honest. Wade was bigger and more athletic, while also having a higher BBIQ. Personally I think Mitchell is one of the most overrated players in the league.

I disagree, i dont know what else to tell you. Yes Mitchell is smaller yes, which is significant and caps his ceiling as a slasher and defender relative to Wade, less athletic arguable but ok, probably a bit worse as a passer, but the guy's also like a Dame level shooter, or at least close lmao.

And for someone that gets diminshed as much as he does, he's largely been really good historically in the playoffs, i just dont get it honestly
