Kubb.
If taught properly, it will be your new favorite back yard lawn game.
My group of friends have run a tournament for the past 10 years to raise money for local families.
Had never heard of it, just had a look and I’m rather interested! Any good resources you could recommend for learning more (apart from getting a set)?
This is a great video on how to play:
https://youtu.be/XfWt0-_MNsY?feature=shared
If you do get a set, don't buy pine as wood. It's cheap and the play isn't nearly as good.
Hardwood sets will run you about $100-125. I've had mine for 8 years and it's still in great shape with a ton of usage.
Otherwise this set is pretty good too for starting out:
GoSports Size Kubb Viking Clash Toss Game Set for Kids & Adults https://a.co/d/hAkLuKY (regulation size)
Or JPs backyard games website sells really nice sets.
Fun fact...Eau Claire, WI hosts the national championship every year in July and is the Kubb capital of the US
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

"Kubb" is awesome, my wife and I took a honeymoon to Denmark back around 2004 and her family played it all the time (they called it something else). We brought a set back, and for about 10 years no one we played with had ever seen it. Now I go to a party, and almost everyone has it and knows the rules. Its cool how it has spread and caught on.

Saw Gary Gulman perform on State Street this weekend. He is a favorite comic of mine, I love how he can take his vulnerabilities, and make it funny, in a way that inspires thoughtfulness and kindness. His whole set revolved around: the insecurity that resulted in being held back in first grade, and how much he hates being corrected. I wouldn't have thought it possible to take things like that and make a room full of people laugh for two hours. Love that guy.

When I am at the dinner table and I am eating mashed potatoes and one person asks me how is everything while simultaneously another person asks if they can grab me something that is when I say "Good, gravy" feel free to use no big deal look it's the offseason and I'm just trying to get some posts up.

When I'm out with my friends and someone asks if "Should get beer?", and someone else asks "Who the heck is Tobias Myers?"
I simply respond with, "Pitcher. "

When the posting is good that is some thing I like to see.

Never understood people who eat regular potatoes when sweet potatoes are available. I assume there is a 90% overlap with people who buy chicken breasts over chicken thighs.

I like sweet potatoes if they're prepared savory enough, but too often they're too, uh, sweet.

Chicken thighs are terrible no matter how they're prepared.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I would say I would boycott realgm until MD is removed as Mod, but I am weak and it would be a very see-through threat.

Someone blogged that chicken thighs are better on the grill and better in an instapot (than breasts). I tried it out, but don’t agree.

Thighs on the grill are friggin' fantastic IMO. The fat renders, hits the heat source (ideally coal here), and makes wonderful smoke for the chicken.

Chicken thighs with skin/bone are great on the grill.
Chicken thighs boneless/skinless are better for baking. Its basically the same as eating a chicken breast without having to drink water or milk every bite to get enough moisture to swallow like you do with a chicken breast.

Re: OT: General Off Topic Thread [NO Politics, Race, Religion, etc.]
For years I've just wondered if I'm cooking thighs wrong. I am, probably. But I looked up how professionals prepare thighs and it basically amounts to performing surgery. Trim the white slimy garbage, remove the skin, remove a joint, square off the thigh, add the skin back on, wrap the thigh tightly.
How 'bout get the **** out of here.

Costco's boneless skinless thighs are excellent.
