So…
Barnes, Huerter, Lyles, Sasha, 13th, 2027 top 4 protected, 2029 top 4 protected
Dump Barnes and/or Huerter on Detroit or some other team
Would Sac pay that kind of tax starting in year one?
Sabonis/Butler/Murray/Monk/Fox

Re: Jimmy Butler trade value
I really like that idea of the Warriors and I agree with the Mavs being the 3 team that takes Wiggins...
I fear the KINGS as an ideal fit on the court, it would make them take the step they need... What would Sacramento's offer be like? It would probably take a 3 team, right?
Fox/Monk/Butler/Murray/Domantas....
That's a contender with 3 all-star level
guys, a prospect who could get there and a really good scorer.
The west would be a real bloodbath

how do Jimmy and Chicago feel?
But Bulls feel worse than Miami, so don’t love that one.

I don't think Atlanta is good enough to really shorten their window here unless JJ breaks outs even more than I think he will. Capela/Butler don't provide a lot of spacing either, I would want to keep OO if I was Atlanta and they were interested in Butler. Capela rerouted or maybe get enough minutes aside of Bam?

Did we do Houston? Sengun/Smith/Butler/Cam/FVV? That worth going in for?

Sengun would likely get the Towns treatment. I don't see Houston using assets on the 35 and up stars that might hit the market.

Miami could be losing Robinson and Love so I think they’d keep barnes/Huerter who are upstaged as it is. Also I’m starting Ellis over monk no matter who we trade for let alone having a starting defensive unite featuring fox, ellis, butler, and murray

Basic Wiggins/Kunminga/25 1st/27 1st offer (assuming they trust his health enough for the next year or two). Philly could offer a lot more salary relief but less positive assets, LAL could come up with similar value (depending on valuation of various players involved and preference for sooner or later picks).
I like Kuminga but taking Wiggins is a bitter pill to swallow. It's intriguing but not my first choice. Feels light.
We could conceivably offer CP3 in Wiggins’ place but then we’d probably need to find a third team to dump Wiggins on to keep the long term cap situation from getting totally out of control.
I like the concept though. Go all-in for 2 years with a Steph/Klay/Jimmy/Dray core and then re-assess when Steph and Jimmy expire after 2026
If you can find someone, that's good with me. I'd take Kuminga, two firsts, and cap space for him. We can then flip picks and Herro for an upgrade

Retooling around a 35-year old Butler with the other core players all being pretty young, seems like a bad idea. If he really wants $50M per for 3 years, it's simply unworkable with Mobley coming of his rookie deal after next season and Allen coming of off his contract the following season.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I think the thought process would be something like - "look at what Minnesota did by adding older veterans around Edwards" - perhaps his leadership would be the thing that helps Mobley + Garland make a big leap. But you are probably right that it is unworkable.

Would be a good deal can NY afford three max contracts after next season in Brunson, Butler, and OG while paying Hart and Robsinson

New York is an interesting landing spot.
The Clippers make some sense as well (perhaps lack asset(s)?)
His fit on Denver instead of Gordon is interesting.

Riley doesn’t typically want picks. And giving up a 2029 pick for a 35 year old Jimmy in 2024 is reckless.
I agree he could be valuable for Sac for a couple years but I don’t want to see much value laid out beyond the 2-3 seasons he’d be in Sac. Trade 13, no problem…2027 if you have to (probably would) but not 2029. Sac would need a likely need a third team.

I’m giving that pick and 2031 as well if it means we get to run a Fox,Keegan, Butler, Sabonis four man core for 2-3 years

No. No way Murray should be included, which may kill any deal in the cradle.
