It would feel great if they can win this without Gobert. That means when they go back to Target Center and we have Gobert back, what chance of them taking a game away in Target Center if they can't even beat us without him?

Not to mention dangerous winds in Denver today. Lots of delays of flights in and out.

I'm good with Rudy taking this game off. We're deep, and he'll come back ready to go. Who's stepping up tonight? Wouldn't mind Kat being efficient with higher volume. Maybe naw or jaden pop off.

We can still win this

Finch made it sound like he didn’t make the trip. Rudy was there for the birth of his child and had plenty of time to get back for the game. He decided to take a playoff game off.

As he should. As anyone should for their first child. Family should always come before a job. Especially if someone grew up without a father and wants to make sure they are never like their deadbeat dad.

Nothing wrong with the decision. It's not an elimination game. It's not a game in the finals. A loss tonight doesn't get you eliminated. It doesn't even give the Nuggets control of the series. Wolves still have control of the series despite the outcome.

Being there for the birth I support. Staying there when you are flying back tonight or tomorrow morning anyway I don’t. I seriously doubt the mother or the baby are leaving the hospital today anyway. This is my opinion, but I suspect a lot of fans are gonna share it.

Opinions are opinions, but no he shouldn't just ditch his partner because she popped a baby out no problems. His child isn't even 24 hours old. Birth is a rollercoaster of emotions and exhaustion.

Reports say she had the baby this morning, but how long was she in labor? Did Rudy just skip the labor and show up at birth? Or was he there supporting her all during the labor hours before? He could have been up since 3:00am for this. If he's running on fumes how useful is he anyway?

I've noticed people without children don't "get it" and think once the woman has delivered the baby the man is free to leave her and go about his business. That's not the case.

I get the frustration as your team has a real shot at contending- a legit shot. Those don't come around often. But this game has no impact on your chances because you won game 1. This is about as "meaningless" a playoff game as you can have and of all the games to miss this is the one.

KAT can't use his hands on defense he needs to not at all try to steal or do any of that. Just stay solid, any flailing or blocking, or anything is going to easily get called. Just cut that out. No swipes, no steals, no blocks.

We've had 2 balls in/out. Kat and McD. I like our start though. I'm petrified of Towns with 3 fouls 1st qtr.

In other words don't bother playing defense because the refs are looking for any and every excuse to screw you.

He can still wall up, put a body on Jokic, and be a presence. Just don't be jumping and yes, let guys who you aren't actilvly guarding like Gordon who may come streaking by just lay it up because it will be an easy call if you try to block him from behind.

As for Rudy playing tonight there is no right or wrong decision. It's great to be there for the birth of your child. How much time to invest after the birth of your child is open to interpretation. After the Birth of my now 5 year old daughter I took a month paternity leave. My choice. My job could afford to be without me in my opinion more than Rudy's can afford to be without him. He has a chance to make the pinnacle of his professional career this year. He may never get another chance and him not playing today could easily make the difference.

Wolves taking care of business for the first 9 minutes of the game. Do it for 39 more.

So Malone is yelling that they didn’t call a foul on Jokic?

Game is honestly being undercalled. Jamal Murray was hacking Karl-Anthony Towns, which led to Karl-Anthony Towns absolutely mauling him on the drive (offensive foul was even more egregious than the initial wrap up). No being soft, this level of physicality can lead to injuries.
