Minnesota has Jaylen Clark out of UCLA on a two-way rehabbing from an achilles. He was an All-defensive american last year playing next to Jaquez. Wait 'til next year when he's playing.

They also have Leonard Miller (GLI alum) who is an even better defender than that. Scary 4/5 hybrid with incredible athleticism and length.

Neither of those guys are ever getting any run as long as a healthy KAT, Naz and Rudy are on the roster.

People don't appreciate how big looking Bruce Brown and Jeff Green is, especially with Deandre Jordan and Reggie Jackson getting a year older. Denver has zero depth, it is a serious problem.

Nuggets last season also played a depleted Wolves team, a Suns team that got thrown together at the deadline and a Lakers team that capitalised on a weaker West.

West is built different this season.

A fair bit of luck is required for any NBA champion.

Denver were by a considerable margin the best team in the NBA last season, and their title shouldn't be diminished cause the Western Confrerence is tougher, better and more athletic than last season

They seized their moment with both arms and fully deserve their ring.

Said before, it's almost impossible in today's NBA to go back to back due to parity and the obscene amount of talent in today's NBA.

It's a bit disappointing to read the lack of respect for Denver's championship last season (not that I am necessarily accusing you of it)

The most concerning thing from this was the lack of leadership. Jokic isnt a leader. Malone broke. Murray was broken. It was a horrible look and they need to do some soul searching.

What a game. If KAT is playing like this, the ceiling for the Timberwolves is championship-level, he just has to stop the dumb fouls. This is also like the third game where the Timberwolves have had their bench scrubs out there getting quality minutes. That is pretty crazy for the the NBA playoffs. They have been the Terrorwolves, an absolute nightmare for every team they have played so far. 6-0 is incredibly impressive, I think it surpasses an early Minnesota North Stars record for biggest streak to open the playoffs in men's pro sports history. Bravo.

I know the curse in Minnesota sports is strong especially with the Vikings. But if you were to tell me that the Timberwolves had the possibility of winning it all this year I wouldn't have believed you. I'd be happy for Mike Conley because that dude is one of the most underrated players of his generation and to see him be such a stabilizer is remarkable. If KAT can refrain from doing low IQ stuff, they'll kill whoever is in sight.

The game plan of forcing Jokic to be a scorer is a smart one as they'll wear him down with 3 7ft guys over the course of a series and it didn't help them that Murray&co haven't really stepped up. Phenomenal performance and knowing Ant, he'll demand that they sweep at home which seems like a real possibility.

PS my friend was crazy enough to drop $500 on the Wolves winning the title at the beginning of the year at 66-1 odds. Jesus Christ if this happens, he'll never let me hear the end of it because I told him he was nuts.
